According to the present invention, there is provided a method of forming a corrosion-resistant nickel plated steel sheet or strip comprising a base sheet made of a cold rolled steel sheet or strip. A nickel layer is electroplated on at least one side thereof. A part or all of the nickel plated layer forms Fe-Ni diffusion layer. Moreover, the exposure rate of iron on the surface of the nickel plated layer is 4-30%.

Method for manufacturing a corrosion resistant nickel plating steel

According to the present invention, there is provided a corrosion-resistant nickel plated steel sheet or strip comprising base sheet made of a cold rolled steel sheet or strip and a nickel layer plated on at least one side thereof; in which a part or all of the nickel plated layer forms Fe-Ni diffusion layer; moreover, exposure rate of iron on a surface of the nickel plated layer is 30% and below.
