A synchronous electric motor includes rotor having a plurality of radially-oriented magnetic dipoles and a stator. Stator teeth group with a plurality of sets of stator teeth are arranged in the same position in terms of an electrical angle with another stator teeth group to provide rotational symmetry about an axis of the rotor. In each of the stator teeth groups a predetermined number of stator teeth are arranged at intervals different from intervals of the rotor magnetic dipoles. A main coil is wound about a predetermined number of stator teeth with a sub-coil further wound around one or more a teeth. Phase and magnitude of a resulting magnetic field is adjusted by the number of loops of the main coil and sub-coil. A given stator tooth can produce maximum torque despite any difference between an alignment of the stator tooth and an inter-polar interval of the stator.

Synchronous electric motor

The present invention provides a synchronous motor drive system designed to realize reduced vibration and noise along with high output. The system includes: inverters, andfor converting a direct current to a three-phase alternating current; a current application control unitthat controls operations of the three-phase inverters; and a synchronous motordriven by three-phase alternating currents supplied from the three-phase inverters. The current application control unitdetermines, for each three-phase inverter, a current phase angle and a current amount of a three-phase alternating current to output, and each inverter supplies a three-phase alternating current having the determined current phase angle and current amount to a different one of three-phase coil groupsto

Synchronous electric motor drive system

Provided is a synchronous motor including a rotor having magnetic poles distributed circumferentially along a rotation direction of the rotor at equal intervals, and a stator having stator teeth arranged circumferentially along the rotation direction of the rotor, each tooth wound with a stator coil by concentrated winding. Every M consecutive stator teeth belong to one of stator teeth groups arranged at equal intervals. The M consecutive stator teeth in each stator teeth group are arranged at intervals different from the intervals of the magnetic poles of the rotor. The stator coils wound around the M consecutive stator teeth are connected to separate terminals. A motor driver supplies currents of different phases to the stator coils via the respective terminals.

Synchronous motor drive system

A motor generator is provided with a stator having a winding around each of a plurality of stator teeth, and a rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets by the number larger than that of the stator teeth, arranged in the circumferential direction at equal intervals. The stator teeth are formed of a first stator teeth section including a plurality of stator teeth groups I, II, and III each including the adjacent stator teeth around which a winding to which the same phase voltage is applied is wound and in which winding directions of the stator teeth are opposite to each other, and a second stator teeth section including a stator teeth having a winding wound therearound and being placed among stator teeth groups of different phases such that electric power is independently input and output with respect to the first and second winding sections. This makes it possible to reduce the space and the cost while inputting/outputting the electric power through different channels and allowing arbitrary design of the electric power distribution.

Motor generator

A motor includes a rotor including a permanent magnet type rotor unit having a plurality of permanent magnets and a reluctance type rotor unit having a plurality of salient pole portions, the rotor units being coupled to each other in an axial direction. A stator generates a field for driving the rotor. The permanent magnet type rotor unit and the reluctance type rotor unit have an angular deviation therebetween in the direction of rotation to obtain desired torque characteristics. The reluctance type rotor unit has slits for preventing flux leakage from the permanent magnets. The slits are formed with the angular deviation in the direction of rotation from respective positions symmetric about a center of the salient pole portions. Flux leakage is thus prevented to avoid deterioration in characteristics.

Motor

In a permanent magnet-embedded, concentrated winding motor, plurality of stator teeth are divided into, for example, three groups that include a plurality of adjacent stator teeth having coils wound around and that are provided with voltage in phase that are set as one group. Coils are wound in opposite directions around adjacent stator teeth in the same group, while the relation between the angle h of a slot opening between adjacent stator teeth of the same group and the angle H of a slot opening formed between adjacent stator teeth of different groups satisfies h&#x3c;H&#x2266;3h.

A motor including: a rotor including a permanent magnet type rotor unit having a plurality of permanent magnets and a reluctance type rotor unit having a plurality of salient pole portions, the rotor units being coupled to each other in an axial direction; and a stator for generating a field for driving the rotor. The permanent magnet type rotor unit and the reluctance type rotor unit are given an angle deviation therebetween in the direction of rotation to obtain desired torque characteristics. The reluctance type rotor unit has slits for preventing flux leakage from the permanent magnets. The slits are formed with the angle deviation in the direction of rotation from respective positions symmetric about a center of the salient pole portions. Flux leakage is thus prevented to avoid deterioration in characteristics.

A permanent magnet embedded type concentrated winding motor generator, wherein of the mechanically and electrically independent first and second winding groups (), the plurality of first teeth () wound with the first winding groups () are divided into three groups (I, II, III) for example, and the winding directions of the windings of adjacent first teeth () within the same group (I, II, III) are opposite. Furthermore, one second tooth () wound with a second winding group () with a different winding specification from the first winding groups () is provided between each of the groups (I, II, III). Accordingly, the relative sizes of the generated voltages in the first winding groups () and the second winding groups () differ each other, allowing the realization of a compact and low cost construction capable of charging two different electric potentials from a single unit, which also enables a reduction in distortion of the waveform of the counter electromotive force, a reduction in iron loss, and an improvement in the efficiency of the motor, and enables the efficient charging of power sources with two different electric potentials.

A motor comprising: a rotor including a permanent magnet type rotor unit having a plurality of permanent magnets and a reluctance type rotor unit having a plurality of magnetic salient pole portions and a plurality of slits for preventing flux leakage, the rotor units being coupled to each other in an axial direction; and a stator for generating a field for driving the rotor. Elongated holes for preventing the short-circuit of magnetic fluxes are arranged near edges of the permanent magnet of the permanent magnet type rotor unit. The elongated holes or notches are arranged within a range defined so that 0.95&#x3b1;&#x2266;&#x3b8;&#x2266;1.05&#x3b1; with &#x3b1;={(360/S)&#x2212;R}/2 (degrees), where &#x3b8; is an angle formed between a magnetic pole boundary and a center of the elongated hole or the notch in a forward direction of rotation of the rotor with respect to a center of a rotating shaft, R is an angle formed by a tooth width of the stator with respect to the center of the rotating shaft, P is the number of rotor poles, and the number of stator slots is S=3P/2.

A motor according to the present invention is a motor using a rotor including two first rotator portions , each having a permanent magnet , and a second rotator portion having magnetic saliency inserted therebetween, coupled in a direction of a rotating shaft , and part of the rotor is replaced with a reluctance motor, whereby an amount of the permanent magnet is reduced, thus making it possible to reduce generated voltage. Further, there are provided the first rotator portion on both sides of the second rotator portion , whereby the second rotator portion is magnetically saturated through the effective use of going-round of magnetic flux to raise salient ratio. Thus, reluctance torque caused in the second rotator portion is increased, whereby it is possible to increase torque as a whole and to obtain a high-output motor.

Motor, electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle

A motor includes a rotor with interior permanent magnets and a stator with teeth wound by concentrated windings. Each permanent magnet is split along a plane oriented towards the stator, and an electrically insulating section is set between the split magnet pieces. This structure allows each permanent magnet to be electrically split, thereby restraining the production of an eddy current. As a result, heat-production is dampened thereby preventing heat demagnetization of the permanent magnets.

A protecting device of an electromobile has a control device to control the rotating speed of a motor on the basis of an accelerator signal, a brake signal, and output signals from an encoder sensor, a commutation sensor, and a phase current detector, which includes a device for detecting interruption of input of the output signals and outputting detecting signal, a device for stopping supply of electricity to the motor in response to the detecting signal of the detecting device, a device for detecting a value of a phase current of the motor and outputting a detecting signal when the phase current is abnormal, and a device for stopping supply of electricity to the motor in response to the detecting signal of the phase current detecting device.

An inverter(3) for driving a motor(4) of an electric automobile(20) produces a three-phase PWM current. When the torque reference is zero, alternatively or when the torque reference is zero and motor speed is no higher than a predetermined value, the inverter(3) is controlled to be cut off so that current from a main power battery(9) is suspended or stopped.
