The first layerand the second layeris partly joined together at jointsin a prescribed pattern. The first layerhas a number of raised portions which are located among the joints. The second layercomprises a material which exhibits elastomeric behavior. The bulky sheet materialexhibits elastomeric behavior as a whole and breathability.

Bulky sheet material having three-dimensional protrusions

A method for restoring bulkiness of nonwoven fabric which contains crimped thermoplastic fiber and is in a roll form is disclosed. The method comprises unwinding the nonwoven fabric from the stock roll, and blowing hot air to the unwound nonwoven fabric by a through-air technique to make the nonwoven fabric increase in bulkiness. The hot air is heated at a temperature lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic fiber and not lower than a temperature lower than that melting point by about 50&#xb0; C., and is blown for about 0.05 to 3 seconds.

Method for restoring bulkiness of nonwoven fabric

A base material for a wiping sheet on which powder is to be supported, wherein the ratio of the average pore diameter (D) of the surface of the base material while dry as measured by the mercury penetration method to the average particle diameter (d) of the powder, D/d, ranges from 0.03 to 30, and the base material while dry has a bulk softness of from 0.1 to 5 N/30 mm and a thickness of from 0.3 to 5 mm.

The invention relates to a skin cleansing sheet obtained by impregnating (c) a sheet with an aqueous composition containing (a) 1-50 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 10-16 and (b) 1-30 wt. % of a polyhydric alcohol or glycol ether. The cleansing sheet has high detergency and detergent speed to smears of makeup and sebum, and low irritativeness to the skin, gives users a pleasant feeling upon use, and moreover has good handling property and stability.
