A heart cam mechanism of a switch includes a cam groove, which includes a heart cam and surrounding cams, and a lock pin. The heart cam has a concave part, a first vertex opposite the concave part, and second and third vertices on a concave-part side. While the switch is in a locked state, an upper end part of the lock pin is engaged with the concave part of the heart cam, and is positioned at a locking position. While the switch is pressed, the upper end part slides while pushing against a bottom surface of the cam groove located outside the heart cam, and moves along a heart-shaped path, which is depressed at the locking position. This configuration prevents an end part of the lock pin from moving in a reverse direction even when a step-like part of the bottom surface of the cam groove is worn out.

This invention provides a switch including a housing, a plunger that slides in a press direction or a return direction with respect to the housing, a return spring that biases the plunger in the return direction and is compressed by a slide of the plunger in the press direction, a plurality of terminals that are brought into a conductive state according to a predetermined position of the plunger, and a terminal contact spring that makes contact with the terminals so as to bring the terminals into a conductive state by the slide of the plunger in the press direction. The terminal contact spring is disposed so as to be compressed according to the slide of the plunger in the press direction under a contact state of making contact with the terminals.

A switch has a base, a housing, a support terminal that is assembled in the base, a moving contact piece that is made of a band-shaped material having a section being formed into a substantial J-shape, a moving contact being provided in one end portion of the moving contact piece, an intermediate portion of the moving contact piece being turnably supported by a turning bracket of the support terminal, a plunger that is accommodated in an internal space while being vertically movable, wherein the internal space is formed by fitting the housing in the base, and a coil spring that is turnably supported by the plunger. The plunger is vertically moved such that one end portion of the coil spring is slid while brought into press-contact with an edge of the other end portion of the moving contact piece, whereby the moving contact piece is inverted to bring and separate the moving contact into contact with and from a fixed contact. The pair of moving contact pieces is disposed on the base such that axis centers of the moving contact pieces are parallel to an axis center in a longitudinal direction of the base and such that the moving contact pieces are located on both sides in a central portion in the longitudinal direction of the base.

A switch and an electronic device maintain a power supply ON state until data processing is completed, and automatically turn OFF the power supply after the data processing is completed. The switch includes a rotation operating body that does not receive an operation force from an operating element when OFF operated is arranged inside the operating element. The rotation operating body includes a switch operating portion for turning ON a power supply switch mechanism and a return spring regulating piece for biasing a return spring in an anti-biasing direction. A regulating state of the return spring regulated by the return spring regulating piece is held, where the ON state of the power supply switch mechanism is held with a permanent magnet, and the ON state of the power supply switch mechanism is released by applying a release force on the permanent magnet when the power supply is reset.

A switch has a supporting terminal assembled to a base, a movable contact piece, made of a band-shaped conductive material bent to a substantially J-shaped cross section, having a movable contact at one end and having an intermediate portion rotatably supported by a rotation receiving portion of the supporting terminal, a plunger accommodated so as to be movable up and down in an internal space formed by fitting a housing to the base, and a coil spring including a forced dissociation bent portion at one end and being rotatably supported by the plunger. The plunger is moved up and down to slidably move one end of the coil spring while pressure contacting the other end edge of the movable contact piece to invert the movable contact piece and contact or separate the movable contact to and from a fixed contact, and to lock a distal end of the forced dissociation bent portion to the other end edge of the movable contact piece and exert a shear force on the movable contact of the movable contact piece.

A switch includes a base, a support terminal assembled in the base, a movable contact piece made of a belt-like electroconductive material bent into a substantial J-shape in section, a plunger vertically movably accommodated in an internal space, and a coil spring turnably supported by the plunger. The movable contact piece includes a movable contact provided in one end portion thereof. An intermediate portion of the movable contact piece is turnably supported by a turning support portion of the support terminal. The internal space is formed by fitting a housing in the base. The plunger is slid while vertically moved press-contact one end portion of the coil spring against the other end edge portion of the movable contact piece such that the movable contact piece is reversed to bring the movable contact into contact with a fixed contact or to separate the movable contact from the fixed contact.

In fabricating a door switch for a microwave oven, two switches are incorporated in a single switch case to allow a reduction in the size and to allow common use of switch components, thereby achieving a cost reduction through a reduction in the number of components. Further, a contact switching structure tilted in conjunction with opening and closing of a door is provided to achieve high accuracy in switching the switches. There is provided a first switch whose contact portions are switched by elastically displacing a conductive contact piece in the switch case when a first tilting lever is tilted, a second switch whose contact portions are switched by elastically displacing another conductive contact piece in the switch case at timing that is slightly different from the timing for switching the contact portions of the first switch, and a third switch which is switched when a second tilting lever is tilted.

A thin switch having a small floor area easy to be manufactured is provided. A switch includes a base including at least one switching fixed contact point exposed from a bottom surface and a concave part having at least one pair of opposing side walls; an operation lever pivotally supported by the side walls of the base; a slider slidably arranged on the bottom surface of the base for sliding while being guided by the opposing side walls of the base when pushed by a cam part of the operation lever; and a conductive coil spring arranged on the bottom surface of the base so as to extend and contract with push and release by the slider, including an arm part on a first end side arranged to be slidable on the bottom surface of the base and arranged so as to contact and separate with respect to the switching fixed contact point. A shaft center of the coil spring is arranged parallel to a moving direction of the slider.

A switch is provided, which is stable in operating characteristics and can be operated with a small operating force, and which is long in life and easy to manufacture. The switch includes a base, a moving contact piece having one end thereof supported pivotally on the base, an operating lever supported pivotally on the base and having a drive part pushing a coil portion of the moving contact piece, and a cover having a planar shape capable of covering the base and fixed to the base to compress the coil portion. The operating lever pushes the coil portion of the moving contact piece whereby the moving contact piece turns about an end thereof, the coil portion slides on a stationary contact exposed from a bottom surface of the base, and the other end of the moving contact piece slides on a common stationary contact exposed from an inner surface of the base.

A switch is provided, which is stable in operating characteristics and can be operated with a small operating force, and which is long in life and easy to manufacture. The switch comprises a base, a moving contact piece having one end thereof, which is supported pivotally on the base, coming into pressure contact with a common stationary contact, an operating lever having one end thereof supported pivotally on the base and having a drive part, which extends from the one end, pushing a coil portion of the moving contact piece, and a cover fixed to the base to compress the coil portion. The operating lever pushes the coil portion of the moving contact piece whereby the moving contact piece turns about an end thereof, the coil portion slides on a bottom surface of the base, and the other end of the moving contact piece slides on a stationary contact exposed from an inner surface of the base.

The present invention is provided with a contact switching mechanism having a movable contact member that is bent into a U shape, allowed to press and contact a fixed contact member side, and supported so as to freely tilt and move thereon. In this mechanism, a switching operation is carried out between contacts by reversing the movable contact member in a see-saw manner, with a tilt-movement fulcrum portion of the movable contact member being always in contact with the contact portion of the common fixed contact member. The movable contact member is allowed to have a spring function conformed to elastically shift in response to a switching operation in addition to a contact function that is inherent to the movable contact member so that it is possible to provide a switch having high reliability, such as a push-button switch and a rotary-lever switch, which can cut costs by reducing the number of parts, and ensure a superior contacting property.

A switch in which a switch unit is constituted by situating the free end of a first movable member disposed with a contact between stationary contacts opposing to each other along the vertical direction, while engaging the other end of the movable member to a fixed portion, pivoting one end of a second movable member to the free end of the first movable member while engaging a spring to the other end of the s econd movable member, thereby biasing the contact of the first movable member to one of the stationary contacts, and setting the other end of the second movable member to a switch operation portion, as well as a switch wherein a housing, which enhouses a push button unit containing an illumination unit, a socket unit to be connected to the illumination unit and a plunger to be connected to the push button switch, contains to secure the switch mechanism at the lower opening thereof and the lower end of the plunger is disposed to the switch operation portion.
