An electrode orientation checking apparatus includes a machine stand attached to a seam welding apparatus from which one roller electrode of a set has been removed, a positioning guide and a set of distance sensors that are provided on the machine stand, and a calculating section. A positioning surface of the positioning guide is fixed at a position corresponding to a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the one roller electrode before being removed, the portion lying on a line segment connecting rotational centers of the roller electrodes. The distance sensors are respectively fixed forward and backward of the positioning surface in a progression direction of the roller electrodes. The calculating section calculates data for acquiring a direction of the line segment relative to the stacked body.

Electrode orientation checking apparatus and electrode orientation checking method

The seam welding apparatus includes a pair of rotating electrodes, an electrode supporting frame, a distance measuring means, and a controller. The electrode supporting frame supports the pair of rotating electrodes. The distance measuring means is provided on the electrode supporting frame and measures a distance to an edge of the steel plate. The controller controls the robot to adjust a running direction of the rotating electrodes so that a deviation comes into zero when a distance actually measured by the distance measuring means deviates from a predetermined distance. Thereby, it is accomplished that the seam welding apparatus is downsized as well as uninfluenced by the surface state and/or shape of workpiece (steel plate).

Seam welding apparatus, seam welding method, robot control device, and robot control method

This seam-welding device carries out seam welding while repeating one cycle comprising a melting period, an interruption period, and a heating period implemented either before or after the interruption period. A welding current is applied between a pair of roller electrodes so as to form a welded part between workpieces during the melting period, the application of the current between the roller electrode pair is interrupted so as to solidify the welded part during the interruption period, and a heating current smaller than the welding current is applied between the roller electrode pair so as to heat the laminated body within a solidification temperature range of the welded part during the heating period. Consequently, even when the welding speed is increased, formation of cracks and spatter is effectively suppressed such that a high-quality joined product is obtained.

Seam-welding method and device therefor

In a seam welding method, a pressing force applied to workpiece by roller electrodes is reduced and an energization to the roller electrodes is stopped when the roller electrodes pass at least a portion where metal sheets are temporarily fastened together through spot welding, and the pressing force to the workpiece by the roller electrodes and the energization to the roller electrodes are restored after the roller electrodes have passed the spot welded portion.

According to a water-based composition characterized by containing a colorant, water, a wetting agent, an amine compound, a hydroxyl group-containing organic solvent and a urethane resin having a polycarbonate group, there is provided a water-based coating composition being capable of easily controlling the gloss of a coating film applied on an object to be coated, having good storage stability, and being excellent in wetting properties to an object to be coated and continuous discharge stability without causing nozzle clogging.

Sonic wave speed at a part is calculated considering the environment surrounding the part, sonic wave speed around the part is measured, and the accuracy of the position detection is improved. An ultrasonic wave transmitting device is arranged at a robot hand tip, hexahedrons which can contain the tip are set, and the ultrasonic wave transmitting-receiving devices are arranged at the top points thereof. Upon detecting the tip position, a top point that is close to the tip is selected as a specific point, and sonic wave speeds from other top points to this specific point are calculated. Based on these sonic wave speeds, sonic wave speed along a route from the tip to the specific point is calculated. Based on this sonic wave speed value and spread time of ultrasonic waves between the tip and the specific point, distance from the specific point to the tip is calculated.

Device, method, and program for detecting position

Chirped light pulses, the color of which changes regularly with time, are generated and applied to an object to be measured. A reflected light image of the chirped light pulses reflected from the object is acquired. Then, three-dimensional information of the object is acquired using two-dimensional information, color information represented by the reflected light image of the chirped light pulses, and the field of vision of the three-dimensional information to be acquired is enlarged.

A fastener comprising a bush and a pin is used to mount an airbag on a vehicle body panel. The pin has a head with legs depending therefrom, and the bush has a flange with a shank depending therefrom. The shank supports resilient pawls moveable in slots. The legs of the pin are inserted into the slots to a temporary connection position at which the resilient pawls are free to move inward of the slots, and to a permanent connection position at which such movement is blocked. The bush shank has a rigid axial column between the slots. The flange has a pair of spaced upright walls defining a space for receiving the pin and for preventing the head of the pin from being pressed inadvertently.

A clip comprises a pin having a flange and a shank and a bush having a flange and a hollow shank into which the pin shank is inserted. The clip is configured so that the pin and bush can be temporarily connected, and the bush shank can be inserted into a mounting hole in a workpiece such as a panel while the pin and bush are temporarily connected. When the pin shank is further inserted into the bush shank, the bush shank expands to fix the clip to the workpiece. The bush flange has a wall extending to about the level of the pin flange when the pin and the bush are temporarily connected so as to shield the pin flange and the pin shank.

A fastener for fixing a curtain airbag to a body panel of an automobile comprises a screw grommet having a shank to be inserted into mounting holes of an airbag-anchor portion and a body panel, and a flange to press the airbag-anchor portion against the body panel. The flange has an opening and the shank has a shank hole continuous to the opening into which a tapping screw is driven. The shank has resilient fingers protruding outward from sides of the shank to engage edge regions of mounting holes in a temporary fixing state. The fingers are held in a permanent fixing state by screwing the tapping screw into the shank hole, preventing the fingers from being bent inward. The flange has an edge with an upstanding partition to allow a central region of the flange to be partitioned from a main body of the curtain airbag.

A garnish clip comprises a body attachment portion for attachment to a vehicle body and a garnish attachment portion for attachment to a garnish. The garnish attachment portion comprises a plate-shaped base with one end connected to the body attachment portion and a plate-shaped garnish engagement portion connected to the other end of the base by a U-shaped connection. The garnish engagement portion is latched to a head of the body attachment portion. Ribs on the garnish attachment portion provide rigidity to limit opening of the garnish engagement portion away from the head when the airbag deploys and the latch is released by collision or roll-over forces.

A garnish clip comprises a body attachment portion for attachment to a vehicle body and a garnish attachment portion for attachment to a garnish. The garnish attachment portion comprises a plate-shaped base with one end connected to the body attachment portion and a plate-shaped garnish engagement portion connected to the other end of the base by a U-shaped connection. The garnish engagement portion and the base are also connected by a thin breakable connector near the body attachment portion. Ribs on the garnish attachment portion provide rigidity to limit opening of the garnish engagement portion away from the body attachment portion when the airbag deploys and the thin connector breaks due to collision or roll-over forces.
