A vehicle door opening device includes a lock control device configured to switch a door lock device to an unlocked state when an operation on a first operation member is detected, and a latch control device configured to: when an operation on a second operation member is detected while the door lock device is in the unlocked state, switch the latch mechanism to an unlatched state; when the operation on the second operation member is detected while the door lock device is in a locked state and when the operation on the first operation member is detected, switch the latch mechanism to the unlatched state; and, when the operation on the second operation member is detected while the door lock device is in the locked state and when the operation on the first operation member is not detected, maintain the latch mechanism in a latched state.

A vehicle interior light control system that controls the state concerning a vehicle interior light mounted to a vehicle includes a lighting state control part that gradually changes the vehicle interior light from a first state to a second state different from the first state, and a time adjustment part that adjusts time required for a state change from the first state to the second state made by the lighting state control part. The vehicle interior light control system further includes a pattern storage unit in which a pattern of change in the vehicle interior light from the first state to the second state is stored. The lighting state control part changes the state of the vehicle interior light in accordance with the pattern stored in the pattern storage unit.

A ball joint generates play when wear of a ball sheet reaches a predetermined allowable amount so that the end of service life of the ball joint can be recognized by a simple inspection. A spherical portion of a ball stud is interposed between an upper sheet and a lower sheet. The upper sheet is displaced toward the lower sheet when the upper sheet or the lower sheet has been worn due to sliding of the spherical portion. The displacement of the upper sheet is restricted so that the upper sheet is supported at a predetermined position relative to the lower sheet.
