The present invention provides a glass improved in impact resistance, which has excellent impact resistance and penetration resistance. The constitution of the glass consists of a glass plate, an organic resin layer containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer provided thereon, and a film comprising an organic polymer provided on the layer. The organic resin layer may have conductivity and the film may have a hard coat layer thereon.

Glass improved in impact resistance

A sealing film is used for sealing a solar cell, and including an EVA film formed of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin. The sealing film has concavities formed by embossing. A percentage defined by V /V &times;100% is in a range from 20% to 50%, wherein V is the total volume of the concavities per unit area of the sealing film, and V is the apparent volume of the sealing film which is the product of the maximum thickness of the film and the unit area.

Method of manufacturing a solar battery

A covering member is used as a transparent protective member for protecting solar cells of a solar battery. The covering member includes a transparent high-sunproof film, a transparent high-moistureproof film laminated on the transparent high-sunproof film, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive disposed between the transparent high-sunproof film and the transparent high-moistureproof film. The high-moistureproof film is formed of two transparent polyethylene terephthalate films and inorganic oxide coatings coated on the respective films. The inorganic oxide coatings are formed of silica and/or alumina, and coating surfaces thereof are bonded to each other. The ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive contains ultraviolet absorbing agent and organic peroxide as a cross-linking agent.

Covering member for solar battery

A backside covering member is used as a protective member for protecting back sides of solar cells of a solar battery and to provide moistureproof property and durability. The backside covering member includes an outer film, a moistureproof film formed on the outer film and formed of a base film and a coating layer of an inorganic oxide deposited on a surface of the base film, and a reflection layer formed on a surface of the moistureproof film opposite to a surface on which the outer film is laminated. Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesives are situated for sealing between the outer film and the moistureproof film and between the moistureproof film and the reflection layer.

Backside covering member for solar battery, sealing film and solar battery

An air bag includes a pair of laminated films and an opening for inflator, in which each laminated film is at least one elastomer layer and at least one shape holding layer.

Air bag

An air bag comprises a facing sheet and a backing sheet of thermoplastic resin film and laminated on at least an outer peripheral joining region thereof with a thermoplastic resin film. An adhesion reinforcing layer(s) is interposed between the facing sheet and the backing sheet at the joining region and made from a thermoplastic resin provided that an insulating layer is interposed in the adhesion reinforcing layer at a region ranging from a position corresponding to an approximately center of the outer peripheral joining region toward the inside thereof. The facing and backing sheets and the adhesion reinforcing layer are heat-welded together at the outer peripheral joining region.

Thermoplastic resin film air bag

A first air bag comprises an upper cloth and a lower cloth, the peripheries of the both cloths being connected, characterized in that the upper cloth consists of an airtight sheet obtained by weaving a composite fiber composed of a filament core and a thermoplastic polymer bonded thereto-which has a melting point lower than that of said filament core, and then fusing said thermoplastic polymer so that the surface of said upper cloth has a continuous thermoplastic polymer layer. A second air bag consists of a membranous material having a breaking extension of 100% or more. An air bag housing pad cover which is light in weight and soft to the touch and opens in case of crash with certainty over a broad temperature range. A method of producing the air bag housing pad cover efficiently in high yields from a compound composed of a thermoplastic elastomer and a light filler in an amount of 5 to 50 vol % of the compound, the former having a tensile strength higher than 100 kg/cm.sup.2 and a Shore indentation hardness lower than 55 D, and the latter having a true specific gravity lower than 0.7 and a compression strength higher than 50 kg/cm.sup.2.

Air bag housing pad cover and production thereof

A polyaniline is highly conductive and less corrosive when it contains up to 7 mol % of benzenoid-ammonium salt state and up to 25 mol % of quinoid-diimine state, based on the total molar amount of the polyaniline.

Polyaniline

A porous ceramic structure suitable for use as a filter for molten metal, in which a porous ceramic body having pores capable of passing a fluid therethrough is covered with a metal layer over the wall surface of the pores such that a fluid may flow through the pores while in contact with the metal layer. The filtering efficiency can be improved due to the increased wettability between the ceramic filter and the molten metal.
