A toner comprising: a toner particle that comprises a core particle comprising a binder resin, and a shell layer comprising a thermoplastic resin on a surface of the core particle; and organosilicon polymer particles on a surface of the toner particle, wherein a peak top molecular weight of the thermoplastic resin, according to measurement by gel permeation chromatography, is 30000 to 500000, a number-average primary particle diameter of the organosilicon polymer particles is 10 nm to 500 nm, and an absolute value of a difference (ΔSP) between an SP value (SP) of the organosilicon polymer particles and an SP value (SP) of the thermoplastic resin present in the shell layer is not more than 2.30.

Toner

A semiconductor light-emitting element according to the present invention includes an n-type semiconductor layer, an active layer, a p-type semiconductor layer, and a p-electrode. The n-type semiconductor layer has a composition of AlGaN or AlInGaN. The active layer is formed on the n-type semiconductor layer. The active layer contains an AlGaN semiconductor or an AlInGaN semiconductor. The p-type semiconductor layer is formed on the active layer. The p-type semiconductor layer has a composition of AlN, AlGaN, or AlInGaN. The p-electrode is formed on the p-type semiconductor layer. The p-type semiconductor layer includes a contact layer formed on the p-electrode. The contact layer includes an AlGaN layer or an AlInGaN layer in which a band gap decreases toward an interface with the p-electrode. The contact layer includes a tunneling contact layer in contact with the p-electrode. The tunneling contact layer is connected to the p-electrode by a tunnel junction.

A toner comprising a toner particle comprising a binder resin and organosilicon polymer particles on a surface of the toner particle, wherein the binder resin comprising an amorphous resin and a crystalline polyester resin, an absolute value |SP−SP| of a difference between an SP value (SP) of the organosilicon polymer particles and an SP value (SP) of the crystalline polyester resin is not more than 2.00 (cal/cm), and an amount of adsorbed water in the organosilicon polymer particles at a temperature of 30° C. and a humidity of 80% RH is not more than 20 mg/g.

Toner and method for producing toner

A toner comprising: a toner particle containing a resin component and a wax; and an inorganic fine particle on the surface of the toner particle, wherein, in a cross section of the toner particle, domains containing the wax are observed, and when among the domains, domains having a major diameter of 10-300 nm are defined as domains S, an occupation area percentage of which a ratio of a total sum of areas occupied by the domains S in a region from a surface of the toner particle to a depth of 600 nm in the cross section with respect to an area of the region, is 3.0-15.0%, and wherein the inorganic fine particle contains a fine particle A having a volume resistivity of 1.0&#xd7;10to 3.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm, and having a relative permittivity &#x3b5;r of 100 or more.

A toner is provided, which has a toner particle that contains a binder resin, and organosilicon polymer particle on a surface of the toner particle. A toner comprising an organosilicon polymer particle and a toner particle containing a binder resin and a wax, wherein the organosilicon polymer particle contains an organosilicon polymer, a part of silicon atoms in the organosilicon polymer has a T3 unit structure, a ratio of an area of peaks derived from silicon having the T3 unit structure relative to a total area of peaks derived from all silicon element contained in the organosilicon polymer particle is from 0.70 to 1.00 inSi-NMR measurement of the organosilicon polymer particle, a plurality of domains of the wax are present in a cross-section of the toner particle, the wax is an ester wax, the average long diameter of the domains of the ester wax is from 0.03 &#x3bc;m to 2.00 &#x3bc;m, and the SP value SPw of the wax is from 8.59 to 9.01.

A toner has a toner particle including a binder resin, a colorant, and a wax, in which in a cross section of the toner particle observed under a scanning transmission electron microscope, a proportion of the number of toner particles having a void with a long diameter of 0.50 &#x3bc;m or less is 60 number % or more, and a proportion of the number of toner particles having a void in a region from an outline of the cross section of the toner particle inward to 1.00 &#x3bc;m in a total number of the toner particles having a void is 30 number % or less.

Toner and method for producing the toner

A toner has a toner particle that contains a binder resin and a charge control resin, wherein the charge control resin is a polymer that contains a unit A and a unit B, the unit A is a unit derived from 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, the unit B is a unit derived from an electron donor compound that has a polymerizable unsaturated group, and a molar ratio between the unit A and the unit B is from 1.0 to 10.0.

The present invention is a toner including toner particles prepared by forming particles of a polymerizable monomer composition including a polymerizable monomer, a pigment, a pigment dispersant and a crystalline polyester resin in an aqueous medium, and polymerizing the polymerizable monomer, wherein the polymerizable monomer is a polymerizable monomer for preparing a vinyl copolymer, the difference in an SP value between the pigment dispersant and the crystalline polyester resin is &#x2212;1.5 to +0.8, the difference in an SP value between the pigment dispersant an the vinyl copolymer is &#x2212;1.1 to +1.2, the pigment dispersant has a polymer component and an adsorbable component adsorbed to the pigment, the polymer component is a vinyl polymer, the polymer component of the pigment dispersant has a number average molecular weight of 3,000 to 20,000, and a rate of adsorption of the pigment dispersant to the pigment is 30% or more.

A toner is provided that, even in a small amount thereof, gives a satisfactory image density and that is free of image problems, e.g., fogging and offset resistance, even during long-term use and in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment. The toner contains a binder resin, a pigment, and a prescribed azo compound wherein, designating as (A) the solubility of the azo compound in a toluene-hexane solubility test and as (B) the solubility of the binder resin constituting the toner in the toluene-hexane solubility test, the (A) and the (B) satisfy the relationship |(B)&#x2212;(A)|&#x2266;60.

Provided is a toner manufactured in an aqueous solvent, whereby a satisfactory image density can be obtained and the toner laid-on level on a recording medium can be reduced with a normal added concentration of pigment without adding a large quantity of pigment to the toner. The toner is manufactured in an aqueous medium by the suspension polymerization or dissolution suspension method and contains a binder resin, a pigment and an azo compound. The azo compound is a specific azo compound, and the absolute value of the difference in zeta potential between the binder resin and the azo compound is 25 mV or less.
