An image processing device includes: a separation unit configured to separate a plurality of wide-band image signals corresponding to wide-band light passing through each of a plurality of wide-band filters and a narrow-band image signal corresponding to narrow-band light passing through a narrow-band filter, from each other, based on an image signal input from an imaging device; a demosaicing unit configured to perform demosaic processing that interpolates one of the plurality of wide-band image signals based on edge information from the narrow-band image signal separated by the separation unit; and an image generation unit configured to generate a wide-band image by using the wide-band image signal interpolated by the demosaic processing performed by the demosaicing unit and generate a narrow-band image by using the narrow-band image signal.

An imaging device includes a first substrate including a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of second pixels, a second substrate including a plurality of third pixels and facing the first substrate, and a processing unit. The plurality of third pixels receive light transmitted through the plurality of first pixels. The plurality of first pixels output signals corresponding to a wavelength bandwidth including wavelengths of green light and transmit a wavelength bandwidth including wavelengths of red light. The plurality of second pixels output signals corresponding to a wavelength bandwidth including wavelengths of blue light and not including wavelengths of red light and wavelengths of green light. The plurality of third pixels output signals corresponding to a wavelength bandwidth including wavelengths of red light. The processing unit generates a signal at least from an output of the plurality of first pixels and an output of the plurality of third pixels.

At least one of the plurality of organic film filters is a filter obtained by overlapping two or more filter layers on each other.

Banknote discrimination apparatus

An imaging device is provided with a color sensor including a first color sensor pixel and a second color sensor pixel. The first color sensor pixel includes a first color filter made from a first material, a second color filter made from a second material and superimposed on the first color filter, and a first color sensor element that is superimposed on the first color filter and the second color filter, and receives light that has passed through them. The second color sensor pixel includes a third color filter made from the first material, a fourth color filter made from the second material, superimposed on the third color filter, and having a different thickness to that of the second color filter, and a second color filter element that is superimposed on the third color filter and the fourth color filter, and receives light that has passed through them.

A pixel that detects short-wavelength light is provided in a light receiving unit on a silicon substrate and has a first color filter. A pixel that detects long-wavelength light is provided in the light receiving unit on the silicon substrate, is provided in a position closer to an outer edge of the light receiving unit than the pixel that detects the short-wavelength light, and has a second color filter. A longest-wavelength transmission band of the first color filter is a first transmission band, and the longest-wavelength transmission band of the second color filter is a second transmission band. The second transmission band has a longer wavelength than the first transmission band.

An imaging device includes: an R pixel that is made of an organic material and includes a photodiode on which an organic film color filter that transmits red light is formed; a G pixel that is made of an organic material and includes a photodiode on which an organic film color filter that transmits green light is formed; a B pixel that is made of an organic material and includes a photodiode on which an organic film color filter that transmits blue light is formed; and an FPF pixel including a photodiode on which a Fabry-Perot filter in which an intermediate layer interposed between dielectric layers is made of a material that transmits light is formed. A spectrum information measurement method may include steps of; controlling a reference pixel accumulating charges based on an amount of light irradiated from a test specimen; controlling a plurality of measurement pixels accumulating the charge based on an amount of light that is irradiated from the test specimen and has a prescribed wavelength; generating and outputting a reference signal based on an amount of change in the charge that is accumulated in the reference pixel over the prescribed measurement time; generating and outputting a plurality of measurement signals based on an amount of change in the charge that is accumulated in each of the plurality of measurement pixels over the prescribed measurement time; determining whether or not any one or more of the plurality of measurement signals is greater than the reference signal, and determining that the measurement signal that is greater than the reference signal includes saturated output.

A method of adjusting an output level of a measurement pixel may include a first step of selecting a type of a target sample from a plurality of previously determined sample type candidates, a second step of measuring an output level of a reference pixel based on light from the target sample incident on the reference pixel, a third step of selecting a level adjustment parameter associated with the type of the target sample selected in the first step, the plurality of candidates being associated with the type of the target sample, a fourth step of calculating a level adjustment amount of the measurement pixel, and a fifth step of adjusting the output level using the level adjustment amount when measuring an output level corresponding to the light from the target sample.
