An object of the present invention is to provide a diffusion bonding heat exchanger with which it is possible to reduce a thermal stress that is generated due to heat exchange between fluids significantly different from each other in temperature even in a case where the number of stacked heat transfer plates is made large. A diffusion bonding heat exchanger () includes a core () in which a plurality of heat transfer plates (HP) are stacked and diffusion-bonded to each other. The core includes a plurality of flow path blocks () each of which is configured to include a plurality of flow path layers () and a partition wall layer () that divides the plurality of flow path blocks. A thickness (t) of the partition wall layer in a stacking direction is larger than an interval (t) between flow paths arranged in the stacking direction.

Diffusion bonding heat exchanger

A diffusion bonding heat exchanger includes a first heat transfer plate and a second heat transfer plate. A high-temperature flow path of the first heat transfer plate includes a connection channel portion configured such that a high-temperature fluid can flow across a plurality of channels within at least a range that overlaps a predetermined range in a stacking direction, the predetermined range being a range from a flow path inlet of the second heat transfer plate to a position downstream of the flow path inlet.

A heat exchanger includes a first flow path through which a first fluid flows, a second flow path through which a second fluid flows, and an adjustment layer disposed between the first flow path and the second flow path adjacent to each other and that adjusts an amount of heat exchange between the first flow path and the second flow path. The adjustment layer includes a first portion and a second portion having a heat transfer performance lower than that of the first portion, and has a heat transfer performance varied depending on a position in the adjustment layer.

Heat exchanger

A spacer portion () of this heat exchanger () includes an outer peripheral portion () circumferentially provided along outer peripheral edges of bonded surfaces () of cores () and a gap portion (and) provided in a partial region of the circumferential outer peripheral portion, and the gap portion is provided at a position where a temperature gradient on the bonded surfaces of the cores is relatively shallow.

This heat exchanger includes a core and a header tank. The entire peripheral edge of an opening of the header tank welded to the core has a bevel inclined from the internal surface of the header tank toward the external surface thereof at a predetermined bevel angle. The present invention provides a production process by which a water-absorbent resin of excellent quality can be obtained at a low cost by reasonable steps in aqueous solution polymerization. The process for producing a water-absorbent resin comprises the step of polymerizing an aqueous solution of water-absorbent resin-forming monomers including acrylic acid and/or its sodium salt as major components, wherein: (1) the aqueous solution has a monomer component concentration of not less than 45 weight %; (2) the polymerization is carried out while water is evaporated so that the ratio (concentration ratio) between a solid component concentration in a hydropolymer as formed by the polymerization and a solid component concentration in the aqueous monomer solution will not be less than 1.10; and (3) the solid component concentration in the hydropolymer as formed by the polymerization is not more than 80 weight %.

Water-absorbent resin, hydropolymer, process for producing them, and uses of them

A method for disintegrating a hydrate polymer characterized by disintegrating a hydrate polymer having a solid content in the range of 50-70 wt. % with a screw extruder while supplying 0.1-30 parts by weight of water per 100 parts by weight of the polymer to the extruder. Since the product of disintegration is prevented from inducing mutual adhesion, it does not form masses of conglomeration when it is dried.

Method for disintegrating hydrate polymer and method for production of water-absorbent resin

An object of the present invention is to make it possible that: a high-concentration hydrogel sheet, which is suitable for production of high-performance water-absorbent resin particles, is cut efficiently without involving the adhesion to such as cutting-blades; and the subsequent disintegration operation is also successfully carried out; and hydrogel particles excellent in the quality and performances are efficiently produced. Process for production of hydrogel particles and process for cutting of high-concentration hydrogel sheet

The present invention relates to a method for continuous production of a water-absorbent resin by use of an continuous polymerization device having a charge part of a monomer aqueous solution; an endless belt on which the monomer and a hydropolymer formed are conveyed; and a discharge part of the hydropolymer, wherein the continuous polymerization device has side walls and a ceiling, and the space ratio in the device represented by the equation, 'space ratio in the device=B/A', is in the range of 1.2 to 20. In the equation, A is a maximum cross-sectional area (cm) of the hydropolymer during the polymerization in the width direction of the endless belt, and B is a maximum cross-sectional area (cm) of the space between the endless belt of the continuous polymerization device and the ceiling of the continuous polymerization device in the width direction of the endless belt.

Method for continuous production of water-absorbent resin

The present invention provides: a water-absorbing agent which has excellent urine resistance; a water-absorbing agent which has not only excellent urine resistance, but also excellent absorption properties that are stable to any composition of urine and show little change with time; and production processes and uses for these water-absorbing agents. The present invention water-absorbing agent exhibits a specific or larger value of absorption capacity under a load in a process in which the absorption capacity under a load is measured in a new manner using a specific liquid to be absorbed, and the present invention provides an absorbent matter and an absorbent article which display a specific or larger value of new absorption index as is, for example, led from the absorption capacity under a load or from the resin concentration using the above water-absorbing agent. The present invention further provides a production process for a water-absorbing agent having the above specific parameter.

Water-absorbing agent production process with surface crosslinking and ion blocking

There is provided: a production process for a water-absorbing agent having stable properties in a short time; and a water-absorbing agent. The production process comprises the step of blending an acid-group-containing water-absorbent resin powder with a noncrosslinkable water-soluble inorganic base and/or an irreducible alkaline-metal-salt pH buffer and further with a dehydratable crosslinking agent reactable with the acid group, thereby subjecting the resin powder to crosslinking treatment, or comprises the step of blending an acid-group-containing water-absorbent resin powder with the above base and/or pH buffer and further with a crosslinking agent reactable with the acid group, thereby subjecting the resin powder to crosslinking treatment, wherein the resin powder has a weight-average particle diameter of 300 to 600 &#x3bc;m wherein the ratio of fine powders having particle diameters of not larger than 150 &#x3bc;m in the resin powder is not more than 10 weight %.

Water-absorbing agent and production process therefor, and sanitary material

In a gas humidifier used for humidifying fuel in a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC), a small-size gas humidifier is achieved by carrying out a steam-generating process and a gas humidifying process by the use of the steam by using a single unit. In order to achieve this structure, a plurality of longitudinal tube plates are laminated in a thickness direction with predetermined intervals so that a heat-exchanger core () of a plate-fin type is prepared. Heating-use high-temperature fluid (A) is allowed to flow alternately through a plurality of spaces that are formed inside the heat-exchanger core () and placed side by side in the horizontal direction so as to direct a gas to be humidified (B) to another space from above to below. An injection tube (), which is used for spraying liquid (C) that serves as a steam source, is inserted virtually horizontally along tube plates on two sides in an upper portion of each space through which the gas to be humidified (B) flows. A header pipe (), which is used for supplying the liquid (C) to the injection tube (), is connected to the injection tube () at a place apart from the heat-exchanger core (). One portion of the gas to be humidified (B) that has been introduced into the heat-exchanger core () is allowed to flow outside the heat-exchanger core () and to contact the header pipe () placed outside thereof.

Gas humidifier

There is disclosed a process to uniformly and rapidly carry out the mixing of a monomer liquid and a polymerization initiator and thus for the resulting polymer not to adhere to the inner surface of the piping or the inside of the apparatus in an art of producing a water-absorbent resin by continuously mixing the monomer liquid and the polymerization initiator together and thereby carrying out polymerization.
