The instant invention provides a base material characterized by having a continuous three-dimensional honeycomb structure for regenerating an air sinus. The invention further provides methods for regenerating an air sinus using the base material. The base material has a composition and a structure that is similar to the wall and bone structure which allows it to becomes a scaffold of the regeneration of the mucosa tissue covering the surface of an air sinus.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a collagen material that possesses physical properties to an extent that allows suturing while still maintaining the biochemical properties inherently possessed by collagen, and retains its shape for a certain amount of time even after application to the body; its production process; and, a medical material on which it is based, examples of which include a artificial tube for nerve, artificial tube for spinal cord, artificial esophagus, artificial trachea, artificial blood vessel, artificial valve or alternative medical membranes such as artificial endocranium, artificial ligaments, artificial tendons, surgical sutures, surgical prostheses, surgical reinforcement, wound protecting materials, artificial skin and artificial cornea, characterized by filling or having inside a substance having biocompatibility that can be degraded and absorbed in the body into a matrix of a non-woven fabric-like multi-element structure of collagen fibers having ultra-fine fibers of collagen as its basic unit.

Collagen material and its production process

Disclosed are a tissue filler and tissue reconstruction method using the same that enables missing or reduced tissue of a body to recover to a normal state thereof, and the tissue filler comprised by mixing mesenchymal stem cells into a hydrochloric acid solution of atherocollagen.

Artificial trachea

The present invention relates to a collagen material comprising a laminate in which a collagen ultra-fine fibrous non-woven fabric-like multi-layer structure is sandwiched between non-fibrous collagen layers, a thread-like material containing said collagen material, their production processes, and a medical material containing said collagen material, and particularly a medical alternative membrane comprised of said medical material. These use collagen for their raw material without combining the use of a synthetic polymer material, possess physical properties to an extent that allows suturing while still maintaining the biochemical properties inherently possessed by collagen, and the alternative medical membrane can be used as a material for filling in the missing portions of biomembranes such as endocranium, pericardium, pleura, peritonium or serous membrane, presents no ethical problems, is in stable supply, has no risk of infection, does not cause cell degeneration, allows control of the rate of degradation following application to the body, and has an action that promotes regeneration of biomembranes.

The present invention relates to a collagen gel, its production process, a medical material in which it is used or a kit for its production, wherein said collagen gel is obtained by crosslinking collagen with polyanion and carbodiimide.

Collagen gel

The object of the present invention is to provide an artificial tooth and its production method that is not required to be joined directly to the mandibula or the maxilla, and an artificial tooth and its production method that allows both homoplastic and heteroplastic transplantation. The artificial tooth of the present invention has a layer in which extracted collagen is filled into the root canal of a homoplastic or heteroplastic permanent tooth from which cellular components of periodontal ligament, nerve and blood vessel have been removed, and an extracted collagen membrane on the surface of the root having on top of it a periodontal ligament from which said cellular components have been removed.

Disclosed is an artificial esophagus suitable for human use that includes a fine fibrous collagen layer and a tubular outer surface. The invention generally provides a degradable artificial structure that helps maintain an existing esophagus or form a new esophagus.
