The fuel cell system performs prevention control for preventing an anode gas detector from erroneously detecting anode gas discharged from an exhaust port as leakage of anode gas from an anode gas flow path, when at least one of (i) a flow rate proportion, found by dividing a measured flow rate of cathode gas by an assumed flow rate of the cathode gas, is smaller than a predetermined flow rate proportion threshold, (ii) a pressure proportion, found by dividing a measured gas pressure by an assumed gas pressure, is larger than a predetermined pressure proportion threshold, and (iii) a voltage proportion, found by dividing a measured voltage of the fuel cell by an assumed voltage of the fuel cell, is smaller than a predetermined voltage proportion threshold, is satisfied. This prevents the anode gas detector from erroneous detection as leakage of anode gas.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling the same

A fuel cell system mounted in a mobile object is equipped with a bypass flow passage that establishes communication between an air compressor and an exhaust gas flow passage, and a valve that adjusts an amount of air supplied to the bypass flow passage. A control unit performs a process for increasing a flow rate of air caused to flow through the bypass flow passage, by controlling a drive amount of the air compressor and the opening degree of the valve, when an outside air temperature is equal to or lower than a threshold and a speed of the mobile object is equal to or lower than a determination speed. In the process, a flow rate of air at a first temperature that is lower than a second temperature that is equal to or lower than the threshold is larger than a flow rate of air at the second temperature.

Fuel cell system, mobile object, and exhaust gas discharge control method

A fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell stack, a tank, a discharge flow path discharging a fluid discharged from the fuel cell stack, a muffler attached to the discharge flow paths, and a vehicle member defining a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber accommodating the fuel cell stack and the second chamber being disposed behind the first chamber and accommodating the tank and the muffler. The second chamber is also provided with a front portion and a rear portion continuous with the front portion, the rear portion being shorter than the front portion in average length in a vehicle width direction. The muffler is disposed between the tank and one of a pair of side wall portions defining side walls of the front portion in the vehicle width direction.

A gas tank-equipped vehicle equipped with a plurality of gas tanks includes: a vehicle body; a first gas tank disposed with a longitudinal direction thereof along a front-rear direction of the gas tank-equipped vehicle; a second gas tank that is disposed closer to the rear of the gas tank-equipped vehicle than the first gas tank is, and disposed with a longitudinal direction thereof along a left-right direction of the gas tank-equipped vehicle; a first mounting mechanism by which the first gas tank is mounted to the vehicle body; and a plurality of tank bands wound around the second gas tank to mount the second gas tank to the vehicle body.

A piping member that is used for a moving body equipped with a fuel cell and that is configured to suppress potential troubles caused by drainage water of the fuel cell. A fuel cell vehicle includes an exhaust pipe that is a piping member configured to discharge drainage water and exhaust gas of a fuel cell. The exhaust pipe includes an extended portion, a curved portion and an opening end portion and is mounted such that the exhaust pipe opens downward on the rear side of the fuel cell vehicle. The exhaust pipe is configured such that an inner wall surface of a wall portion of the opening end portion located on the front side of the vehicle is inclined from the rear side toward the front side of the fuel cell vehicle to be extended to an opening, in the state that the exhaust pipe is mounted to the fuel cell vehicle.

A fuel cell vehicleincludes first and second grillesandthat are configured to be open forward and take in the outside air. An air intakeis placed in a vehicle inner spaceof the fuel cell vehicle. The air intakeis placed in a location behind and above the first grilleand is configured to take in the air as a reactive gas that is to be supplied to a fuel cell. A flow path memberis placed in a location in front of and below the air intakeand behind the first grille. The flow path memberhas an inclined wall portionthat is arranged to face the first grilleand is inclined obliquely upward from front to rear.

Mobile body equipped with fuel cell

Provided is a protective structure for a fuel cell system in a vehicle. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell unit accommodating a fuel cell and a related device disposed adjacently to the fuel cell unit. The protective structure enables effective protection of the fuel cell unit and the related device from impacts from below the vehicle. The fuel cell unit and the related device are provided at respective protective structural bodies. An under-panel is provided on at least one of the bottom surfaces of the protective structural bodies. A floor panel covers commonly the bottom surface sides of the fuel cell unit and the related device.

Fuel cell system protection in a vehicle

Provided is a mounting structure of a fuel cell system capable of withstanding a collision from the side face of a fuel cell vehicle. The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell unit for housing a fuel cell, and a protective structure having a mounting surface for mounting the fuel cell unit. The protective structure includes sloping frames provided obliquely relative to the mounting surface at a position opposing at least one side face of the fuel cell unit. Since the protective structure has the sloping frames as the structural objects to be subjected to the impact of the collision from the side face, the protection of the entire height of the fuel cell unit is realized by the lightest structural objects.

Fuel cell assembly and vehicle

An object is to provide a vehicle in which the configuration of a frame supporting a tank is effectively used. In order to achieve such an object, the vehicle includes a tank supported by a pair of side frames and cross frames which traverse the side frames, wherein a displacement suppression target on a vehicle floor is supported by the cross frames, the displacement suppression target having a relative displacement during an action of an external force on the vehicle, needed to be suppressed. The tank is preferably suspended on the cross frames. In addition, the displacement suppression target is preferably attached to the cross frames on which the tank is suspended.

Tank support arrangements for a vehicle

This fuel cell vehicle FCV is provided with a fuel cell FC as well as a first tank and a second tank, which store a reaction gas to be supplied to the fuel cell FC. The first tank and the second tank are arranged in the front area of the fuel cell vehicle FCV. The second tank is arranged nearer to a rear area than the first tank and arrangement is performed so that the positions of the tanks are out of alignment in a vertical direction. This configuration enables compatibility to be ensured between an increase in the tank capacity of the fuel cell vehicle and an increase in the space in a passenger room and a trunk, and is capable of absorbing the impact of a collision even if the collision occurs.

Provided is a mounting structure of a fuel cell system capable of inhibiting a related device from colliding with the fuel cell when a crash impact is applied from the vehicle front while inhibiting the increase in the vehicle weight. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, and a related device electrically connected to the fuel cell and disposed adjacent to the, wherein related device has an inclined part on a side of a forward direction of a vehicle. When a crash impact is applied to the vehicle from the forward direction side, the moving direction of the related device is changed to a direction (for example, downward) that is not parallel to the forward direction. Thus, it is possible to inhibit the related device from advancing directly toward and damaging the fuel cell.

A fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell, a radiator, a radiator fan, and a mounting frame. The mounting frame has an opposed member located on an axially extension of a rotating shaft of the radiator fan. When a compression load acting on the rotating shaft reaches a preset load, the rotating shaft of the radiator fan is compressed in an axial center direction along an axial center.
