A motor includes: an annular stator attached in a housing; a rotor that is disposed in the stator and is rotatably supported by the housing; and a plurality of permanent magnets embedded in a rotor core of the rotor, in which the rotor core has embedding holes respectively in which the permanent magnets are fitted, and each of the embedding holes is formed with filling holes each continuous in an axial direction of the rotor core at diagonal positions of each of the permanent magnets.

It is an object to decrease an amount of a cooling medium which stays in a housing of an electric motor and is not discharged to the outside when cooling the electric motor by the cooling medium. For this reason, an electric motor includes a first discharge port which is provided in a first flange of a housing so that the cooling medium passes therethrough, a second discharge port which is provided in the first flange so that the cooling medium in the housing passing a bearing passes therethrough, and a discharge passageway which discharges the cooling medium passing the first discharge port and the second discharge port to the outside of the housing.

A cooling circuit for an electric motor for a construction machine includes a circulation line that includes a shaft-side line disposed in a rotor shaft of the electric motor, a pump that supplies cooling fluid to the circulation line, a first filter disposed between the pump and the shaft-side line in the circulation line, a first bypass line that bypasses the first filter so as to connect an upstream side and a downstream side of the first filter, and a first relief valve disposed in the first bypass line.

An electric motor includes: a shaft having an internal cooling medium passageway; a cooling medium supply portion provided inside a housing at a side of one end of the shaft and supplying a cooling medium to the internal cooling medium passageway; a rotation angle detection sensor attached at the side of the one end of the shaft and detecting a rotation angle of the shaft; a push member including a penetration hole through which the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply portion passes and interposed between the cooling medium supply portion and the one end of the shaft to guide the cooling medium to the internal cooling medium passageway and pressing the rotation angle detection sensor from the side of the one end of the shaft; and a connector holding a terminal connected to a signal cable from the rotation angle detection sensor and attached to the housing.
