The present power conversion device includes an inverter, a step-up/down converter, a first capacitor, a second capacitor, a voltage sensor, a control device, and a backup power supply. The auxiliary device is connected between the first DC power supply and the step-up/down converter, and the control device includes an abnormality determination unit configured to determine that an abnormality has occurred when a control voltage is equal to or lower than a first threshold value, and a control unit configured to execute discharge control when the abnormality determination unit determines that the abnormality has occurred and an inter-terminal voltage measured by the voltage sensor is equal to or lower than a second threshold value.

Power conversion device

A power supply system () includes: a drive motor (M) coupled to drive wheels (W); a first inverter () which converts DC electric power into three-phase AC electric power; a first current sensor (I) which generates a current detection signal according to electrical current flowing in the first inverter (), and a system ECU () which executes discharge control for discharging electrical charge of a second smoothing capacitor (C) connected to the first inverter (), in a case of a discharge start condition being established. The system ECU (), in a case of the drive motor (M) rotating upon starting the discharge control, executes the discharge control, after executing three-phase short-circuit control to turn ON all switching elements of an upper arm or all switching elements of a lower arm of the three-phase arm of the first inverter (), based on the current detection signal of the sensor (I).

Power supply system for vehicle

An electric power control device includes: an ECU; a DC power supply; a backup power supply which has a control power supply as an operation source, supplies electric power to the ECU when an electric power supply from a battery to the ECU is stopped, and supplies electric power to the DC power supply when an electric power supply from the battery to the DC power supply is stopped; a first ground line connected to a ground terminal of the DC power supply; a second ground line connected to a ground terminal of the backup power supply; a current path formation unit which electrically connects the first ground line to the second ground line and forms a path in which a current flows from the first ground line to the second ground line in one direction; and a noise minimizing component connected to the current path formation unit in series.

Electric power control device

A control device of a rotary electric machine capable of preventing occurrence of electrical resonance when a conversion operation abnormality of a DC voltage converter occurs is provided. In a case that the DC voltage converter stops a conversion operation and the conversion operation abnormality that input/output voltages become equal occurs, when a vehicle speed proportional to an electric motor rotation number exceeds a torque limit start vehicle speed, i.e., when the electric motor rotation number exceeds a torque limit start rotation number, a torque limit control for limiting an output torque of the electric motor is executed. The torque limit start vehicle speed is set to a vehicle speed corresponding to a lower limit frequency of a predetermined frequency range where there is a high likelihood of an electrical resonance occurring in the DC voltage converter when the conversion operation abnormality occurs.

Control device of rotary electric machine

A power converter including a switching element, a switching power module containing a driving circuit for driving the switching element, a smoothing capacitor module for smoothing an input to the switching power module, and a heat sink for cooling the switching power module, wherein the switching power module is mounted on the heat sink, and the smoothing capacitor module is provided on a side surface of the heat sink.
