A one-way clutch of roller type comprises an outer race having pockets provided at their inner peripheries with cam surfaces, an inner race arranged in an inner diameter side of the outer race coaxially, a plurality of rollers disposed in the pockets and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race when engaged by the cam surfaces, and accordion springs disposed in the pockets between the outer race and the rollers and having one ends secured to an axial end face of the outer race and adapted to bias the rollers toward engagement directions with respect to the cam surfaces, and the axial end face of the outer race is provided with a discriminating area to which the accordion springs are secured, and the discriminating area is capable of being discriminated from the other areas.

One-way clutch of roller type for starter of motor bike

A one-way clutch comprising an outer race provided with a pocket and having a groove portion formed at an inner diameter side of an axial one end face of the outer race, an inner race arranged coaxially with the outer race, a roller disposed in the pocket and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, a cage having a cylindrical portion with a window and a flange portion extending from an axial one end face of the cylindrical portion in an outer diameter direction, a projection provided on the cylindrical portion, a spring disposed in the pocket between the outer race and the roller and adapted to bias the roller toward an engagement direction with respect to the cam surface, and a side plate secured to abut against the axial one end face of the outer race and provided at its inner diameter portion with spline grooves, and wherein the cage is prevented from being rotated relative to the outer race by fitting the projection in the groove portion.

One-way clutch of roller type

The present invention provides a one-way clutch comprising an outer race, an inner race, a roller adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, a cage having a window for holding the roller, a spring disposed in the pocket and adapted to bias the roller toward an engagement direction with respect to the cam surface, and a side plate provided at its inner diameter portion with spline grooves into which a crankshaft of an engine is fitted, and wherein the side plate is secured to the outer race by inserting rivets into through holes provided in the outer race and through holes provided in the side plate and by caulking the rivets.

A one-way clutch of roller type comprises an outer race having pockets provided at their inner faces with cam surfaces, an inner race spaced inwardly from the outer race in a radial direction and rotatably disposed in concentric with the outer race and having an annular outer peripheral track surface, a plurality of rollers disposed in the pockets and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race when engaged by the cam surfaces, and accordion springs disposed in the pockets and adapted to bias the rollers toward engagement directions with respect to the cam surface, and is characterized in that one ends of the accordion springs are secured to axial end faces of the outer race.

According to the present invention, in a one-way clutch used under an environment where lubricating oil including organic molybdenum exists, at least a part of at least one of a plurality of engaging members constituting the one-way clutch is subjected to surface treatment mainly including an element having no affinity with respect to a molybdenum element.

One-way clutch

A one-way clutch device comprises a plurality of torque transmission members interposed between an inner race element and an outer race element for performing torque transmission therebetween only during one-way relative rotation. A cage has a pair of flanges for holding the torque transmission members therebetween and a plurality of coupling columns for coupling the paired flanges together. The coupling columns of the cage are fixed to fixing portions provided on an inner peripheral side and an outer peripheral side of the flanges.

One-way clutch device and method for manufacturing the same

A oneway clutch assembly comprises an outer race and an inner race, torque transmitting members disposed between the outer race and the inner race, a biasing spring for biasing the torque transmitting members, side plates disposed on the both sides of the torque transmitting members in the axial direction thereof, and detachment preventing means for restricting movements of the torque transmitting members, the biasing spring, and the side plates in the axial direction, and being elastically engaged with the outer race or the inner race. One of the side plates is provided with an engagement projection extended in the axial direction and the engagement projection is fitted in the detachment preventing means.

Oneway clutch assembly

In a one-way clutch provided with an outer race, an inner race disposed for rotation relative to the outer race, a sprag disposed between the outer race and the inner race for transmitting torque, a holder for holding the sprag, and a garter spring for biasing the sprag in a direction of torque transmission, a stepped portion or a groove portion is provided on an axial side of the sprag and the garter spring is held on the stepped portion or the groove portion. The stepped portion or grooved portion serves to indicate the proper orientation of the sprag during assembly into the clutch and enhances the workability of the sprag.

A one-way clutch designed to achieve a reduction in the number of parts and a simplification of assembly. The one-way clutch includes a retainer having a holding hole formed in a portion interposed between an outer race and an inner race to hold a sprag biting between the outer race. The retainer is provided with an elliptical flange urged against the inner periphery of a counterbore formed in the side of the outer race. Since the retainer holds the sprag with the holding hole, the structure of the one-way clutch is simplified. When the flange is pushed into the counterbore of the outer race, the portion of the major diameter of the flange presses the inner periphery of the counterbore, whereby the retainer is made integral with the outer race.

A one-way clutch is provided with a retainer formed with a holding hole for holding a sprag biting between an outer race and an inner race. The retainer further has a sprag restraining piece intervening between the outer race and the inner race. The sprag restraining piece protrudes radially outwardly of the retainer and resiliently bears against the sprag so that the sprag is held between the holding hole and the sprag restraining piece and urged in a direction to bite between the outer race and the inner race. The retainer serves to hold the sprag in the holding hole and also serves to prevent the sprag from coming off the holding hole by the sprag restraining piece and causes the sprag to bite between the outer race and the inner race. Portions of the retainer serve multiple roles when compared to prior retainers and, therefore, the number of parts of the one-way clutch is decreased and the structure thereof becomes simple and the assembly thereof is simplified.
