An organic electro luminescence display panel includes pixel electrodes, a plurality of elongated column banks, a missing portion at which part of the elongated column banks does not exist, a pair of repair banks formed, above the pixel electrodes, in each of two gaps between a column bank that has the missing portion and column banks adjacent on opposite sides in a row direction of the column bank, a light emitting layer and a common electrode provided above the light emitting layer. The repair banks include a pair of repair row banks formed at positions spaced by a predetermined distance or more in a column direction above the pixel electrodes that exist in the two gaps and whose positions in the column direction are same, at least at part thereof, as that of the missing portion.

Organic EL display panel and method for manufacturing organic EL display panel

A patterning device performs patterning in manufacture of a display panel in which thin films including an organic film are laminated above a substrate. The patterning device includes a chamber, light transmissive plates, and a laser emitter. The chamber has a light transmissive window including a first light transmissive plate through which a laser beam is transmitted and accommodates a thin film laminated substrate. A second light transmissive plate through which the laser beam is transmitted is in the chamber between the first light transmissive plate and the thin film laminated substrate at a position spaced away from the thin film laminated substrate. The laser emitter is outside the chamber and emits the laser beam towards the thin film laminated substrate, through the first light transmissive plate and the second light transmissive plate, to irradiate and remove a portion of the thin film.

Display panel patterning device

A display unit includes a substrate including a pixel region including a plurality of pixels and a peripheral region. The display unit includes a plurality of first electrodes, wherein each of the plurality of first electrodes is in a corresponding pixel of the plurality of pixels. The display unit includes a second electrode opposed to the first electrode, wherein the second electrode is common for all of the plurality of pixels. The display unit includes an organic layer between the second electrode and the plurality of first electrodes, wherein the organic layer includes a light-emitting layer. The display unit includes a wiring layer between the substrate and the plurality of first electrodes. The display unit includes an auxiliary electrically-conductive layer including an organic electrically-conductive material, wherein the auxiliary electrically-conductive layer is electrically coupled to the second electrode. The auxiliary electrically-conductive layer is in a recess in the wiring layer.

Display unit

A display unit includes a substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, an organic layer, and an auxiliary electrically-conductive layer. The substrate includes a pixel region including a plurality of pixels and a peripheral region outside the pixel region. The first electrode is provided for each of the plurality of pixels in the pixel region on the substrate. The second electrode is opposed to the first electrode, and is provided common for the plurality of pixels. The organic layer is provided between the second electrode and the first electrode, and includes a light-emitting layer. The auxiliary electrically-conductive layer includes an organic electrically-conductive material, and the auxiliary electrically-conductive layer is disposed in the pixel region on the substrate and is electrically coupled to the second electrode.

An organic EL display panel includes a substrate, a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed in a matrix pattern over the substrate, a first current feeding auxiliary electrode layer disposed to extend in a column or row direction in at least one of gaps between adjacent ones of the pixel electrodes over the substrate, a second current feeding auxiliary electrode layer that contains aluminum as a main constituent and is disposed to be superposed on the first current feeding auxiliary electrode layer, a plurality of light emitting layers disposed on the plurality of pixel electrodes, and a common electrode layer disposed continuously to cover the first current feeding auxiliary electrode layer and the second current feeding auxiliary electrode layer as well as an upper side of the plurality of light emitting layers.

Organic EL display panel and method of manufacturing organic EL display panel

An organic electroluminescence (EL) display panel includes a multi-layered wiring laminate including: a first part on which an organic EL element array is disposed and in which a first portion of a resin insulating layer is present, the resin insulating layer being a highest layer among insulating layers; a second part surrounding the first part in plan view and in which a second portion of the resin insulating layer having a bank-shape is present; and a third part disposed between the first part and the second part in plan view and having a shape of a circumferential groove in which the resin insulating layer is not present. In the third part, wiring is on an inorganic insulating layer that is lower by a layer than the resin insulating layer. The wiring on the inorganic insulating layer is spaced away from the second portion of the resin insulating layer.

A display device including: a lead wiring layer pattern, made from metal, that extends outside a light emission region on a substrate; a passivation layercovering the lead wiring layer pattern, a contact holein the passivation layer outside the light emission region; a connecting wiring layer patternthat is continuous across the passivation layer, an inner circumference of the contact hole, and the lead wiring layer pattern in the contact hole; an electrically-conductive sealing layer patternon the connecting wiring layer pattern, covering a portion of the connecting wiring layer pattern in the contact hole; an electrically-conductive upper sealing layer patterncovering and in contact with a portion of the sealing layer pattern; and a contact prevention layer patternbetween the electrically-conductive upper sealing layer pattern and a periphery of the sealing layer pattern.

Thin-film transistor device and display device using same

An organic EL element including: a TFT substrate having a TAOS-TFT; and an organic EL unit having a lower electrode. The lower electrode includes an aluminum containing metal layer, a transition metal containing oxide layer disposed between the aluminum containing metal layer and the TFT substrate, and an aluminum containing oxide layer disposed between the aluminum containing metal layer and the transition metal containing oxide layer and in contact with both the aluminum containing metal layer and the transition metal containing oxide layer. The aluminum containing oxide layer contains aluminum oxide. The transition metal containing oxide layer contains tungsten oxide and has a density of 6.5 g/cmor more.

An organic EL element includes: a first electrode that is a metal layer; a transparent conductive layer containing indium zinc oxide; and a light-emitting layer, wherein the first electrode, the transparent conductive layer, and the light-emitting layer are stacked, and a ratio of zinc to indium in a vicinity of an interface of the transparent conductive layer is lower than or equal to 0.25, the interface being closer to the light-emitting layer.

Light-emitting element, display device, and method for manufacturing light-emitting element

An organic EL display panel including: a substrate; banks linearly extending along one direction above the substrate; pixel electrodes spaced away from one another along the one direction, in each of first and second spaces among spaces defined by the banks; a light-emitting layer covering each pixel electrode in each of the first and second spaces; and a sub-bank crossing the one direction at least in the first space, and when defining each light-emitting layer portion covering a pixel electrode as a light-emitting portion and defining each area between light-emitting portions adjacent in the one direction as a non-light-emitting portion, a positive integer N exists for which the following holds true: among Nth non-light-emitting portions counting from one side along the one direction, the Nth non-light-emitting portion in the first space has the sub-bank and the Nth non-light-emitting portion in the second space does not have the sub-bank.

Organic EL display panel, production method therefor, and organic EL display device

EL display has a luminescence unit having a luminescence layer being disposed between a pair of electrodes and a thin film transistor array unit controlling luminescence of the luminescence unit. An interlayer insulation film is disposed between the luminescence unit and the transistor array unit. An anode of the luminescence unit is connected electrically to the thin film transistor array via a contact hole of the interlayer insulation film. The thin film transistor array further has a current supplying relaying electrode that is connected to the anode of the luminescence unit via the contact hole of the interlayer insulation film. A diffusion prevention film is formed on the boundary face of the anode of the luminescence unit and the relaying electrode.
