A liquid ejection apparatus includes a printing element board, supply and collection flow passages, a liquid feeding mechanism, and first and second bubble reservoir units. The printing element board includes a pressure chamber having an ejection port from which the printing element board ejects a liquid. The supply and collection flow passages communicate with the pressure chamber. The liquid feeding mechanism generates a difference in pressure between the supply and collection flow passages to supply the liquid from the supply flow passage to the pressure chamber and to recover the liquid in the pressure chamber from the collection flow passage. The first bubble reservoir unit connects the supply flow passage to the liquid feeding mechanism. The second bubble reservoir unit connects the collection flow passage to the liquid feeding mechanism. A volume of the first bubble reservoir unit is larger than a volume of the second bubble reservoir unit.

Liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection head and a liquid ejection apparatus suppressing the occurrence of an ejection failure without increasing the size of the apparatus are provided. To this end, between a circulation unit and a supply flow path communicating with a pressure chamber, a flow path is provided, having a vertical cross-sectional area in a liquid circulation direction, which is double or more a vertical cross-sectional area in a liquid circulation direction in the supply flow path and having a flow path inner wall inclined with respect to the gravitational direction and whose component force of a normal vector has a component in the gravitational direction.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a carriage configured to scan in a scanning direction, and a discharge head mounted on the carriage and configured to discharge liquid. The discharge head includes a housing and a cover that covers the housing, and a space is provided between an end portion of the cover and an end portion of the housing in the scanning direction. The cover is movable relative to the housing in the scanning direction.

Inkjet recording apparatus

There is provided a method of manufacturing a liquid ejection head. The liquid ejection head includes a recording device substrate, an electric wiring member configured to be connected to the recording device substrate at an electric connection portion, and a support member including a concave portion and a convex portion. The convex portion includes a first surface and a second surface. The method includes applying an adhesive to the surface of the concave portion on which the recording device substrate is to be placed and to the first surface, pressing the applied adhesive after the recording device substrate is placed on the surface of the concave portion on which the recording device substrate is to be placed, to fill, with the adhesive, a gap between the convex portion and the recording device substrate to a position higher than the first surface, and sealing the electric connection portion.

Liquid ejection head and method of manufacturing liquid ejection head

A liquid ejection head includes an element substrate having an energy-generating element configured to generate an energy for ejecting a liquid from an ejection orifice, a support member for supporting the element substrate, the support member including a liquid chamber formed therein to supply the liquid to the ejection orifice, and a damper portion for absorbing vibration of the liquid inside the liquid chamber, the damper portion being flexible. The support member has a through-hole for communicating with the liquid chamber at a position located above the liquid chamber in a vertical direction when the liquid ejection head is in a use orientation. The damper portion has a taper portion that tapers downwardly in the vertical direction and is positioned in such a manner that the tapering portion closes the through-hole, and the damper portion and the support member are attached to each other by a fixing member.

Liquid ejection head and manufacturing method of liquid ejection head

An inkjet print head includes a print element substrate having an ejection port array of a plurality of ejection ports arranged and an ink supply port that supplies the ink to the ejection ports. A support member has a partition and an opening that supplies the ink to the ink supply port, in which the print element substrate and the support member are bonded by an adhesive. The partition includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is located between individual extension lines of two surfaces of the first portion. An end of the surface of the print element substrate facing the second portion is located between an extension line of the surface of the first portion and an extension line of a surface of the second portion.

Inkjet print head

A manufacturing method of a liquid supply component in which a liquid supply path is formed between a first constituent component and a second constituent component that are joined with molten resin. The method includes a first step of preparing these constituent components, a second step of causing the constituent components to face each other and forming an orifice portion and a reservoir portion between a mold and a surface of either of the constituent components, and a third step of pouring the molten resin between the constituent components so that it flows into the reservoir portion through the orifice portion.

There is provided a method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head including a liquid discharge head substrate and a flow path forming member, the liquid discharge head substrate having a base, a pressure generation portion provided at a front surface of the base to generate pressure for discharging a liquid, and a supply port for supplying the liquid to the pressure generation portion, and the flow path forming member forming a flow path for feeding the liquid supplied from the supply port to the pressure generation portion. The method includes removing a sacrificial layer by etching the base from a back surface of the base, in a state in which an end covering portion of a cover layer for covering the sacrificial layer is covered with the resin layer. The method suppresses formation of a crack in the end covering portion that covers the end portion of the sacrificial layer.

A liquid discharge head includes a recording element substrate having first to fourth discharge port groups, each of which includes a plurality of discharge ports for discharging liquid, first flow path connecting a first liquid tank to the first discharge port group, a second flow path connecting a second liquid tank to the second discharge port group, and a third flow path connecting a third liquid tank to the third discharge port group and the fourth discharge port group, wherein a flow resistance in the first flow path is smaller than a flow resistance in the second flow path and larger than a flow resistance in the third flow path, and wherein a ratio of the flow resistance in the second flow path to the flow resistance in the third flow path is 4 or less.

Liquid discharge head, liquid discharge apparatus, and manufacturing method

A liquid discharge head includes a recording element substrate including energy generating elements configured to generate energy for discharging liquid and a driving circuit configured to drive the energy generating elements, and a wiring unit including a plurality of connection terminals for connection with the main body side and electrically connected to the recording element substrate. In the wiring unit, wiring lines are respectively connected to the plurality of connection terminals, and a functional element configured to regulate an applied voltage to a predetermined voltage or less is provided between at least one signal wiring line connected to the driving circuit and used to transmit a signal for driving the energy generating element among the wiring lines and the wiring line having a relatively larger electric capacitance than that of the signal wiring line.

Liquid discharge head

A liquid discharge head includes a recording element substrate for discharging a liquid and a housing with the recording element substrate attached thereto. A plurality of holes having openings on a back side of an attachment surface of the housing to be attached to the carriage, are juxtaposed in a direction intersecting with a vertical direction in a state where the liquid discharge head is attached to the carriage. Two positioning bosses, on the attachment surface, are formed above two holes at both end sides of a plurality of the juxtaposed holes or above portions on an inner side than the two holes, and configured to contact the carriage to determine a position of the liquid discharge head on the carriage.
