A color-image forming method in a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material, having the steps of: performing exposure of the light-sensitive material cut into sheets; and subjecting the exposed light-sensitive material sheets to photographic processing, while conveying them with conveying rollers, with the sheet conveying speed being 40.0 to 100 mm/sec; wherein the light-sensitive material to be exposed contains any of: 1) a dye-forming coupler of formula (IA), 2) a compound of formula (I), and 3) 1.4 mg/mor more of a compound of formula (II);

Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material having at least three silver halide emulsion layers different in color sensitivity from each other on a reflective support, wherein said reflective support is one selected from the group consisting of the following (a), (b) and (c): (a) the reflective support is a water-resistant resin-coated support, and at least one layer of the water-resistant resin layers between the support and the silver halide emulsion layers is a biaxially oriented polyolefin layer having micropores, (b) the reflective support is a water-resistant resin-coated support, and at least one layer of the water-resistant resin layers between the support and the silver halide emulsion layers is a biaxially oriented polyolefin layer having micropores, and between the polyolefin layer and the silver halide emulsion layers, a polyolefin layer having no micropore is provided, and (c) the reflective support is one prepared by coating onto at least the side of the emulsion-coated surface of the support with a composition having a white pigment mixed and dispersed in a resin containing at least 50 wt % of a polyester synthesized by polycondensation of a dicarboxylic acid with a diol, andwherein the silver halide emulsions in the silver halide emulsion layers each comprise silver halide emulsion grains with a silver chloride content of 95 mol % or more. Further, a method of forming a color image by the use of this silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is also disclosed.

Amounts of composition constituents for which the Mahalanobis distance is a minimum are selected as the amounts of the composition constituents for the functional mixture.

There is disclosed a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising at least a silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming coupler, a silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming coupler and a silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming coupler, on a support, wherein: the silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming coupler is located more apart from the support than at least one of the silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming coupler and the silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming coupler, and silver halide grains contained in the silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming coupler comprises a high silver chloride emulsion in which the content of silver halide is 80 mol % or more.
