In a pulse edge detection circuit, a measurement circuit has a comparator provided therein which compares a voltage with a reference voltage and outputs a pulse signal. An RSFF puts a signal in a high level at a timing at which detecting a rise edge due to a change of the pulse signal to the high level. In such manner, a set signal of an RSFF becomes inactive and a reset signal of the RSFF becomes active, and a fall edge of the pulse signal becomes detectable. When a fall edge is generated due to a change of the pulse signal from the high level to the low level, the set signal of the RSFF becomes active, and a signal becomes high level.

Pulse edge detection circuit

A rotating electrical machine control device is applied to a system including a power conversion circuit electrically connected to a rotating electrical machine, and a capacitor electrically connected to an input side of the power conversion circuit. The rotating electrical machine control device includes a determination unit that determines a switching mode of the power conversion circuit in which a ripple current flowing through the capacitor is reflected, based on an operating area of the rotating electrical machine, and an operation unit that operates the power conversion circuit such that the switching mode of the power conversion circuit is the switching mode determined by the determination unit.

Rotating electrical machine control device

A signal detection circuit detects, as a detection target signal, a signal of a main terminal of a switching element by comparing the detection target signal with a reference signal. The signal detection circuit includes: a signal generation unit generating the reference signal; a first capacitor having a first terminal connected with the main terminal of the switching element; a second capacitor having a first terminal connected with an output terminal of the signal generation unit; and a detection circuit receiving, as input signals, a signal output from a second terminal of the first capacitor and a signal output from a second terminal of the second capacitor, and the detection circuit detecting the detection target signal based on the input signals.

Signal detection circuit

A drive circuit drives a switch configuring a power converter. The drive circuit divides an inter-terminal voltage of a switch. The drive circuit includes a differential circuit having first and second input terminals to which the divided inter-terminal voltages are inputted. The differential circuit outputs an analog voltage based on a voltage difference between the input terminals. The differential circuit executes reset of the output voltage, and with the voltage difference when reset is canceled after reset is executed as a reference voltage, outputs an analog voltage in which an amount of change from the reference voltage is multiplied by an amplification factor. The drive circuit outputs a binary signal based on comparison results between a threshold and the analog voltage outputted from the differential circuit, and sets a transfer rate of a gate charge of the switch when a driving state is switched, based on the output signal thereof.

Drive circuit for switch

A signal detection circuit includes: a first capacitor having a first terminal connected with a first main terminal of a switching element; a second capacitor having a first terminal connected with a second main terminal of the switching element; and a detection circuit having a differential circuit configuration. The detection circuit receives, as input signals, a signal from a second terminal of the first capacitor and a signal from a second terminal of the second capacitor, detects detection target signals based on the input signals. The detection target signals include a signal of the first main terminal of the switching element and a signal of the second main terminal of the switching element.

In a drive circuit, a differential circuit unit is configured such that resetting of an output voltage of the differential circuit unit is carried out, and the resetting of the output voltage of the differential circuit unit is cancelled. A value of the difference between first and second divided terminal voltages at a timing of cancelling the resetting is defined as a reference voltage. The differential circuit unit generates, as the output voltage, a product of a voltage change from a reference voltage and a predetermined amplification factor after cancelling of the resetting of the differential circuit unit. A signal generator generates a gate signal for the upper- and lower-arm switches in accordance with a value of the output voltage of the differential circuit unit while the upper- and lower-arm switches are in an off state.

Drive circuit for power converter

A controller of a rotating electric machine performs a control on a control amount of the rotating electric machine by (a) calculating a voltage instruction value for controlling the control amount based on voltage detection values of the shunt resistors when shunt resistors in at least two phases have an electric current flowing therein, and (b) performing a drive control of each of switches in an inverter based on the calculated voltage instruction value. The controller determines whether a phase current flowing in a winding is detectable in at least two of three phases based on voltage values of the shunt resistors, and, when determining that the phase current is not detectable in the at least two phases, the controller performs the drive control based on a past current value or a past voltage value in a two-phase rotating coordinate system of the rotating electric machine.

Controller of rotating electric machine

A controller of a rotating electric machine includes a current detector detecting a voltage of each of shunt resistors in at least two phases from among the shunt resistors in three phases during an electric current flowing period in which the shunt resistors in the at least two phases have an electric current flowing therein; and a signal generator setting a switching mode of each of switches forming an inverter for controlling an estimated angular velocity to an instruction angular velocity based on the detected voltage. The signal generator sets a switching mode to flow the electric current in the shunt resistors in the at least two phases during at least part of one half of a modulation cycle of control of the estimated angular velocity.

In a current detection apparatus, an arm current detection unit detects each of at least first and second phase currents having respective amplitudes and flowing in a multiphase rotary electric machine based on a potential difference between input and output terminals of the corresponding one of first and second detection switches during the corresponding one of the first and second detection switches being on. A bus current detection unit detects each of at least bus-based first and second phase currents corresponding to the first and second phases of the multiphase rotary electric machine based on a current flowing through one of first and second buses. An amplitude correction unit corrects the first and second phase currents based on the bus-based first and second phase currents such that the amplitudes of the respective first and second phase currents match with each other.

Current detection apparatus and control apparatus of rotary electric machine

A control apparatus for is a rotating electric machine applied to a control system including a power conversion circuit, a rotating electric machine, and a capacitor. The control apparatus selects two types of active voltage vectors that sandwich a command voltage vector that is applied to a rotating electric machine from a power conversion circuit and have a phase difference of 60 degrees therebetween. The control apparatus selects, of two types of active voltage vectors that sandwich the command voltage vector and have a phase difference of 120 degrees therebetween, one of two types of active voltage vectors that differs from the two types of active voltage vectors selected earlier, based on a driving state of the rotating electric machine. The control apparatus controls the power conversion apparatus to perform switching operations to control the rotating electric machine, based on the selected three types of active voltage vectors.

Control apparatus for rotating electric machine

In a current detection apparatus, a corrector obtains first current-value pairs of the plural values of the corrective first phase current and the respective plural values of the corrective first phase bus-based current synchronized with the plural values of the corrective first phase current. The corrector obtains second current-value pairs of the plural values of the corrective second phase current and the respective plural values of the corrective second phase bus-based current synchronized with the plural pairs of the corrective second phase current. The corrector corrects at least target first and second phase currents detected by a first current detector based on the obtained first current-value pairs and the second current-value pairs to thereby align amplitudes of the respective target first and second phase currents with each other.

In a system for driving an inverter, a superimposing element superimposes, on an output voltage of the inverter. The high-frequency voltage signal is correlated with a measured high-frequency component value of a current flowing in the rotary machine. A calculating element calculates a rotational angle of the rotary machine based on the measured high-frequency component value. A dead-time compensating element shifts a start edge and an end edge of an on duration for each of first and second switching elements of the inverter by a preset same time to compensate for an error due to dead time. A current manipulating element manipulates a current flowing in the rotary machine to maintain an accuracy of calculation of the rotational angle.

Apparatus for calculating rotational position of rotary machine

The power conversion device includes a plurality of semiconductor modules, each having a main body section including a switching element therein. In a module unit, a positive module and a negative module are disposed such that main surfaces of the respective main body sections oppose each other. A positive terminal, a first intermediate terminal, a negative terminal, and a second intermediate terminal project in a Z direction perpendicular to X direction in which the positive module and the negative module oppose each other. A first vector Vfrom the positive terminal towards the first intermediate terminal and a second vector Vfrom the second intermediate terminal towards the negative terminal are configured such that these vector components Vand Vin a Y direction perpendicular to both the X and Z directions are opposite to each other.

Power conversion device

In a system, a superimposing element sets a command value vector of a high-frequency voltage signal and superimposes the high-frequency voltage signal with the command value vector on an output voltage of an inverter. The high-frequency voltage signal has a frequency higher than an electrical angular frequency of a rotary machine. The command value vector is correlated with a measured high-frequency component value of a current signal flowing in the rotary machine. A calculating element calculates a rotational angle of the rotary machine based on the measured high-frequency component value of the current signal flowing in the rotary machine. A reducing element controls at least one of the inverter and a direct voltage power supply to reduce a difference due to the dead time between the command value vector and a vector of a high-frequency voltage signal to be actually superimposed on the output voltage of the inverter.

A control system aims at converting, via a switching circuit, a direct current voltage into an alternating current voltage to be applied to multiphase windings of a multiphase rotary machine to thereby control rotation of the multiphase rotary machine. In the control system, a command voltage determiner determines a command voltage value for an alternating current voltage to be applied to the multiphase windings based on a zero crossing of a line-to-line current and a zero crossing of the amount of change in the line-to-line current. A driving unit drives the switching circuit on and off based on the determined command voltage value to thereby modulate the direct current voltage to the alternating current voltage to be applied to the multiphase windings.
