An in-seat mini-bar assembly, apparatus and method of manufacture is provided. The assembly includes a housing that is insertable into a compartment of the seating module and includes a container with an interior cavity that is conductively cooled by thermo-electric elements of a micro-chiller unit mounted on a conductive rear plate that forms an exterior side of the container. A vent is configured proximate to a front section of the housing to receive outside air forward of the housing for channeling the outside air to a rear section of the housing using a duct attached to the vent at the front section. The duct is shaped for a fluidic intake of the outside air by a frontal flange having a wide cross-sectional area that is gradually tapered to a circular cross-sectional area to direct the airflow in a uniform manner.

In-seat mini-bar features

In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a system includes, an environmental control system (ECS) having a plurality of ducts configured to convey a flow of air into an interior space through the plurality of ducts, a plurality of valves disposed in the plurality of ducts to control the flow of air through a respective duct into the interior space, an overhead bin mounted in the interior space below the plurality of ducts relative to the direction of airflow, and a diffuser disposed at an outlet of the plurality of duct configured to induce the airflow to flow along a convex outer surface of the overhead bin.

Air flow management

A combustor for use in a gas turbine engine including a heat shield panel having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface of the heat shield panel and a combustor shell having an inner surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. The inner surface of the combustor shell and the second surface of the heat shield panel being in a facing spaced relationship defining an impingement cavity therebetween. The combustor shell further includes an impingement aperture that has a nonaxisymmetric shape. The impingement aperture extending from the outer surface to the inner surface through the combustor shell.
