A system and method extracting insights from sensed data are provided. The method includes receiving at least one data packet from at least one IoT tag, extracting at least one parameter from the at least one received data packet, where the parameter is a measure of the at least one IoT tag, identifying patterns from the at least one extracted parameter, and determining an insight based on the identified patterns.

System and method for determining insights from sensing inputs

A temperature sensor is provided. The temperature sensor comprises: an inductor-capacitor (LC) oscillator configured; and a look-up table stored in a memory, wherein the look-up table contains a set of frequencies as a function of ambient temperature values, wherein when the LC oscillator is calibrated to a frequency from amongst the set of frequencies, the respective ambient temperature as stored in the look-up table is retrieved.

A method includes monitoring executed machine code on a line-by-line basis; monitoring power consumption of each component of the energy-aware computing system simultaneous to the machine code monitoring; determining at least one routine executed by the energy-aware computing system based on the monitored executed machine code, wherein the at least one routine is a portion of machine code that performs a specific task within a larger set of instructions for the energy-aware computing system; and mapping the power consumption for each determined routine.

System and method for analyzing power usage of an energy-aware computing system

According to the disclosed embodiments, an on-die capacitor utilized in energy-harvest based circuits is provided. In the disclosed design, the harvester is coupled to the on-die capacitor, thus there is no need to provide power interfaces and semi-conductor devices external to the IC. The disclosed design of the on-die capacitor would reduce the overall size and cost of the IC.

A method for accelerating execution of read operations in a distributed interconnect peripheral bus, the distributed interconnect peripheral bus is coupled to a host controller being connected to a universal serial bus (USB) device. The method comprises synchronizing on at least one ring assigned to the USB device; pre-fetching transfer request blocks (TRBs) maintained in the at least one ring, wherein the TRBs are saved in a host memory; saving the pre-fetched TRBs in an internal cache memory; upon reception of a TRB read request from the host controller, serving the request by transferring the requested TRB from the internal cache memory to the host controller; and sending a TRB read completion message to the host controller.

Techniques for improving throughput and performance of a distributed interconnect peripheral bus connected to a host controller

A method for accelerating execution of read operations in a distributed interconnect peripheral bus is provided. The method comprises generating a first number of speculative read requests addressed to an address space related to a last read request served on the bus; sending the speculative read requests to a root component connected to the bus; receiving a second number of read completion messages from the root component of the bus; and sending a read completion message out of the received read completion messages component to the endpoint component only if the read completion message is respective of a real read request or a valid speculative read request out of the speculative read requests, wherein a real read request is issued by the endpoint component.

Techniques for improving throughput and performance of a distributed interconnect peripheral bus

A distributed interconnect bus apparatus for connecting peripheral devices. The apparatus can be utilized to wirelessly connect peripheral devices or to allow the connectivity of such devices over a network. The apparatus includes a first bridge coupled to a root component of an interconnect bus; and a second bridge coupled to an endpoint component of an interconnect bus. The apparatus may further include an acknowledgment (ACK) termination for generating at least an ACK signal; and a flow control mechanism including at least one receiver buffer for temporarily saving data packets of multiple different transactions.
