Examples include: a leveling system for a top feeder of a printer, where the top feeder includes a media positioning arrangement. The leveling system has a detector for detecting reflected light and generating a three-dimensional image comprising media positioning regions corresponding to the media positioning arrangement on a top sheet of a media stack installed into the top feeder. Also, the leveling system has an actuator configured to adjust heights of different points of the bottom of the media stack. Further, it has a controller for selecting, based on the three-dimensional image, adjustments to the heights for improving leveling of at least one of the media positioning regions; and controlling the actuator to implement the adjustments.

In one example, a media support includes a sheet of elongated suction cups. In another example, a media support includes an arrangement of elongated and/or circular suction cups in which the density of the suction cups varies between different parts of the support.

Media support

In one example, a pallet conveyor for a printing system is described, having a track, a pallet to support a print substrate and move on the track, and a vacuum mechanism to selectively apply a vacuum at the pallet. A boundary of the vacuum applied at the pallet is synchronized with an edge of the print substrate.

In one example, a media support includes a sheet of suction cups in which each suction cup has a port through which air may be evacuated from the cup. In another example, a detachable cover for a vacuum table includes: a sheet having a flat front surface, a flat back surface and multiple suction cups arranged across the front surface of the sheet Each suction cup has a port to the back surface of the sheet to connect to a corresponding vacuum hole in the table when the cover is attached to the table.

Pallet conveyors for printers are disclosed. In example implementations a pallet conveyor for a printer comprises a track, a train pallet to circulate on the track and a wagon pallet to circulate on the track towed by the train pallet. The train and wagon pallets may support a print substrate.

Print arrangement, comprising a first roll, a transport surface, a nip between the first roll and the transport surface through which, at least during printing, a substrate is threaded, a drive system arranged to change a width of the nip, and a lateral stretch member arranged to engage a side of the substrate. The first roll comprises a two coaxially aligned roll segments of similar diameters for rolling over the substrate, with a distance in between.

Print arrangement

A method system and device, to align a substrate on a surface, the device including a first intake and a second intake where the first intake is configured to accept a first fluid and the second intake is configured to accept a second fluid. The first fluid is channeled into the device to vertically move the device a distance, and the second fluid calibrated and channeled into the nozzle, the nozzle having a focusing outlet, and where the fluids are configured to exert a force to facilitate the alignment of the substrate on the surface.
