A foldable hand tool having a blade holder mounted with a handle for movement from folded and unfolded positions. The blade holder has an opening adapted to receive blades of different sizes. The foldable hand tool further has a locking mechanism to lock the holder in an open position. A blade holder lock engages a resilient arm formed in the side wall of the handle.

Multi-blade utility knife

A novel utility knife in which the parts for securing and replacing the cutting blade are selectively movable in and out of the handle of the knife via a single track system. The blade is secured through a series of elastic metal sheets, one of which contains a projection on a metal tab. The lateral manipulation of the metal tab allows the blade to disengage from the metal sheets. Once disengaged, a user of the utility knife may remove or replace the cutting blade.

Sliding cutting tool

In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a combination ratcheting and helical driver is disclosed. In the unlocked position the hand tool coverts downward linear force into rotary motion. In the locked position the hand tool operates as a ratcheting driver. The locking device locks the helical drive shaft of the hand tool in a retracted position such that the helical drive shaft is substantially positioned within the handle body. A locking main body is adjacent to a chuck assembly. The locking main body selectively combines with a shoulder abutment adjacent to the handle assembly to lock the helical drive shaft in the retracted position.
