A drug-delivery chip and a method of fabricating the same are provided. The drug-delivery chip has a main body having at least one drug receiving space individually formed with an opening for storing drugs therein; a thin film for sealing up the at least one drug receiving space; a first conductive wire connecting to one end of the thin film; a second conductive wire connecting to another end of the thin film; a signal-receiving module for receiving actuated signals; and a control module for applying voltages to first and second wire conductive s according to the actuated signal, thereby generating heat to break off the thin film for the release of a drug or drugs received in the at least one drug receiving space.

Drug delivery chip and fabricating method thereof

The invention relates to a capacitive pressure sensor and a method for fabricating thereof. The capacitive pressure sensor comprises a cover, a plurality of first electrode, a substrate and a plurality of second electrode. The cover owns an upper wall and a plurality of side walls. The plurality of first electrode is disposed on the inside of the upper wall of the cover. The side walls of the cover are connected to the substrate to form a space. The plurality of second electrode is disposed on the substrate. The plurality of first electrode and the plurality of second electrode are both in the space. In the invention, the material for cover, the plurality of first electrodes and the substrate are all flexible polymeric material.

Fabrication method of a flexible capacitive pressure sensor

Provided is an optical switch member including a bi-stable mechanism, and first and second electro-thermal actuators. The bi-stable mechanism includes a curved-beam disposed on a bending portion of a first cantilever, one end of the first cantilever having a driven portion disposed thereon. The first electro-thermal actuator includes a first beam of a first driven arm disposed on the bending portion. The second electro-thermal actuator includes a second beam of a second driven arm disposed on the bending portion. The ends of the first and second driven arms are adjacent to first and second sides of the driven arm, respectively. Also proposed is an optical switch device including a substrate, a third thermal actuator, and the optical switch member disposed on the substrate to form an optical switch device to thereby integrate the optical switch with variable optical attenuators on the substrate.

Optical switch and optical switch device having the same

The invention relates to a hybrid optical switch, which is composed of a silicon micro-mirror-array and a mini-actuator array mainly. The invention which combines microelectromechanical systems technology and traditional precision machining technology, possesses the advantages of low cost, high accuracy, high fabrication yield, low actuation voltage, low power consumption, self-aligned micro-mirrors, and easy fiber alignment.

Hybrid optical switch apparatus

In a tactile sensing array and its manufacturing method, the tactile sensing array includes first and second electrodes at different layers, conductors provided for cladding intersection positions of the first and second electrodes, and a cladding layer for cladding the first and second electrodes and conductors. Each of the first and second electrodes is a spiral conducting wire wound onto an elastic wire. During manufacture, a cladding layer solution is injected into a mold; first electrodes are installed in rows and apart, and each first electrode includes conductor solution drops; second electrodes are installed at the conductor solution drops; a cladding layer solution is injected again; and vacuum, heating and demolding process are performed. The invention has the effects of high extensibility, high elasticity and low manufacturing cost and prevents damages caused by high deformation when the tactile sensing array is used and covered onto a complicated surface.

Tactile sensing array and manufacturing method thereof

This invention relates to an optical switch with an arbitrary port number and its arrangement method for the optical communication system, and switches an optical path by using mirrors. The invention uses a network exchange algorithm to compute crossing points and reflecting points of the optical paths. Single-sided reflecting mirrors are disposed at the reflecting points of the optical path respectively, and double-sided reflecting mirrors are disposed at the crossing points of the optical path respectively. With the arrangement method, the arbitrary port number optical switch can be applied to satisfy the requirement for an arbitrary number of input and output terminals, so as to assure that an equal length of each optical path and to decrease the number of mirrors to minimize the cost, size and assembling time of the optical switch.

Multi-port optical switch and method of arranging the same

A 2&#xd7;2 mechanical optical switch includes a base, four collimators (two input collimators and two output collimators), an ultra thin mirror (double-sided reflection) and a switching mechanism of the mirror. This switch utilizes four collimators, which are arranged 90&#xb0; with each other on a common plane, to emit and receive parallel light beams at a certain distance. The light beams are reflected by an ultra thin mirror. When the mirror is moved away from the intersection point of two optical paths, the input lights will directly enter into output channels (transmission state). While the mirror is moved to the intersection point which is the reflection position, the optical beams will be bent into alternate output channels (reflection state) simultaneously from both sides of the ultra thin mirror.
