An electrophoretic display and method for driving panel using the same are provided. The electrophoretic display includes a display panel and a driving circuit. The display panel includes a plurality of column data lines and a plurality of row scan lines. The driving circuit provides a plurality of data driving signals to the column data lines, and provides a plurality of scan signals to row scan lines. Each of the scan signals has a plurality of scan enable periods, and each of the scan enable periods includes a plurality of scan interval periods. Each of the scan signals is floating or grounding during the scan interval periods. Each of the data driving signals includes a plurality of data driving periods, and each of the data driving periods includes a plurality of driving interval period. Each of the data driving signals is floating or grounding during the driving interval period.

Electrophoretic display and method for driving panel thereof

A driving method of an electrophoretic display having at least one display particle is provided. The driving method includes the following steps. A first voltage difference is applied to a data line in a first period, in which the data line corresponds to one of the display particles. At least one particle restore period is inserted in the first period, and a second voltage difference is applied to the data line in the particle restore periods, in which the second voltage difference is different from the first voltage difference. With this method disclosed here, the maxima brightness, maxima darkness, contrast ratio, color saturation, bistability, and image updating time can be largely improved.

The second electrode layer has a plurality of second direction electrodes connected in series along a second direction. The method includes: setting a plurality of particle tightening time periods and a plurality of gray level displaying time periods for the pixel units respectively, where each of the gray level displaying time periods is arranged after each corresponding particle tightening time period; providing a plurality of particle tightening voltages to the pixel units for tightening the particles of the pixel units respectively during the particle tightening time periods, and providing a plurality of display driving voltages to the pixel units during the gray level displaying time periods. The particle tightening time periods and/or the gray level displaying time periods are determined by a plurality of display gray level data corresponding to the pixel units.

A display panel including a driving substrate, a display film, a first protection film, a first adhesion layer, and a sidewall structure is provided. The display film is disposed on the driving substrate. The first protection film is adhered on the display film through the first adhesion layer. The display film is located between the driving substrate and the first protection film. A material of the first adhesion layer is thermal melt-able. The sidewall structure is in contact with a side surface of the display film and includes the material of the first adhesion layer which is melted and re-solidified. In addition, a manufacture method of the display panel includes irradiating the driving substrate the first protection film and the first adhesion layer with a laser to form the sidewall structure in contact with the side surface of the display film.

An electric system including a first wireless apparatus, a display apparatus and a second wireless apparatus is provided. A first information is encrypted to be a first encrypted information and sent wirelessly by the first wireless apparatus. The display apparatus includes a display unit and a wireless communication unit electrically connected to the display unit. An electronic card including an antenna, a chip, a charging circuit and a battery is provided. The antenna receives an external electric signal, and the chip is coupled to the antenna, so as to receive the external electric signal and provide a demodulated electric signal. The battery is coupled to the charging circuit, wherein, the charging circuit provides the charging power to the battery according to a residual electricity of the battery, so as to charge the battery.

An exemplary gamma curve compensating method is used in a displaying process of a display system for inserting a plurality of grey-scale images to adjust the displaying quality of the display system. A grey-scale luminance of each grey-scale image is one of the grey-scales. The gamma curve compensating method includes: providing a plurality of look-up tables (LUTs) according to the different grey-scales; selecting a specific grey-scale of the different grey-scales as a grey-scale luminance of one of the grey-scale images and accordingly selecting a specific LUT of the LUTs corresponding to the specific grey-scale; and performing a gamma-curve compensating based on the specific LUT to keep the gamma curve of the display system invariable in the displaying process. When operating a resistive touch panel, a first command is issued by touching the touch panel using a finger. When the finger remains in contact with the touch panel, a second command is issued by touching the touch panel using a stylus.
