An encoder module adapted for a robotic arm is provided and includes a bracket, a bearing embedded in the bracket, an adaptor ring embedded in the bearing, a circuit board fixed on the bracket and an encoder plate. The bracket includes a ring-shaped structure. The adaptor ring includes a ring-shaped flange portion and a protruding portion. The protruding portion is located adjacent to an inner periphery of the ring-shaped flange portion and protrudes from the ring-shaped flange portion. An outer periphery and an inner periphery of the bearing engage with an inner periphery of the ring-shaped structure and an outer periphery of the protruding portion respectively. The circuit board includes a detector. The encoder plate is fixed on the ring-shaped flange portion and located at a position corresponding to the detector and between the detector and the adaptor ring. The encoder module has less accumulated error and improved accuracy.

A brake device of a robot arm utilizes a brake disc whose diameter is much larger than a diameter of a ratchet for increasing a contacting area of the brake disc, so as to generate a greater friction force. The brake device further utilizes a combining pin, a combining plate, and a plurality of guiding pins for transferring a rotating torque to the brake device having a larger diameter, so as to extend a moment arm of the friction force and generate a greater moment, which reduces a prepressing force and extends life of the brake device.

An optical disc clamping device is provided. A driving bar is moved away from a center hole to synchronously drive a first linking bar and a second linking bar. A first pivotal rod and a second pivotal rod are respectively driven by the first slider and the second slider to move towards the center hole to drive a carrier which carries a chucking disk disposed thereon to contact a spindle motor. A suppresser is fixed at the rim of the center hole to press on the chucking disk to clamp the disc stably.

Optical disc clamping device

The invention provides a protection cover of a pick-up head provided on a traverse of an optical drive. A plate flatly is positioned on an upper surface of the traverse, and the plate has a slot, with one end of the slot fastened to a spindle motor to clamp a disc and the other end of the slot forming a staying part for the pick-up head to stay in a stand-by mode. The pick-up head is disposed in the slot and has an objective lens. When the objective lens stays in the staying part out of a periphery of a 12-cm disc, the protection cover crosses over the staying part to protect the objective lens.

A protection device of a slot-in optical disk drive is provided. The protection device is disposed between two linking parts of the slot-in optical disk drive. One of the two linking parts is formed with a slot, and the other one of the two linking parts is connected to an upper end of a guide pin. A lower end of the guide pin protrudes and is inserted into the slot, and a portion of the guide pin corresponding to a side of the slot is formed with a notch. As the notch engages with the slot, the situation that the guide pin slides out of the slot can be avoided.

A slot-in optical disk drive includes a power unit to drive a sliding component to rotate a loading bar, so as to process loading procedure of the slot-in optical disk drive. A base covers on a main board disposed on a rear side of a casing of the slot-in optical disk drive. A first linking bar is pivoted to a center of the base. An end of the first linking bar is driven by the sliding component, and a haul slot is for driving a right positioning bar. The other end of the first linking bar is pivoted to a second linking bar of the base. The second linking bar is for driving the unloading bar pivoted to the base. The end of the unloading bar is close to a lateral side of the casing, so as to keep away from a breach on the base.

The present invention provides a lift device of a slot-in disk drive, which includes two straight slots formed on a side of a sliding component, two sliding pins protruding from a side of base adjacent to the sliding component or protruding from a fixing plate of a casing, a cover covering with the sliding component, two guiding pins protruding from an inner surface of the cover corresponding to the two straight slots for inserting into the two straight slots respectively, an one-humped traverse slot with two ends of different heights formed on a lateral side of the cover adjacent to the sliding bolt whereinto the sliding bolt inserts, and two lifting slots separately formed on the other lateral side of the cover whereinto the two sliding pins insert.

Lift device of a slot-in disk drive

A slot-in disk drive device and a method thereof. The device includes a drive unit for providing power to move a slider. A loading unit moving with the slider drives a loading stick to push a disc into the device. The slider has a sliding slot. An ejecting unit with a bar-linkage mechanism has one end driven by the sliding slot, and the other end for rotating an ejecting bar to guide or push the disc out. A receiving unit has a receiving bar for guiding the disc, and has a positioning bar disposed between the loading unit and the ejecting unit. A sensing unit includes a plurality of sensing switches respectively disposed near the moving paths of the receiving bar, the ejecting unit and the positioning bar. The drive unit is enabled to load the disk is determined according to the order of actuating the switches.

Slot-in disk drive device and method

A slot-in disk drive device has a drive unit for providing power to move a slider and thus a sliding plate attached to the slider. Guiding slots on the sliding plate rotate a transmission bar. A guide pin is disposed on the transmission bar and moves with a loading stick. One end of a receiving bar is formed with a locking slot. A substrate having inclined slots arranged in parallel and used for guiding the receiving bar. A locking member mounted on the disk drive device has a stopper edge located on moving path of projecting guide pin of the transmission bar and a locking pin. One end of a pulling spring is fixed to the locking member so that the locking pin locks with the locking slot. One end of a restoring bar is mounted on the substrate, and a restoring torsion spring supports and restores the receiving bar.

Slot-in disk drive device

An electrostatic discharge protection apparatus disposed in an optical disk drive includes a spindle motor and a feeding mechanism for driving a pick-up head. The mechanism includes a sled motor for driving the pick-up head. A traverse is disposed in a casing of the optical disk drive for disposing the motor and the mechanism. The electrostatic discharge protection apparatus is an elastic sheet disposed at one end of the spindle motor adjacent to the sled motor and includes a main body and several strips extending from the main body. The main body is connected with a metal fixing plate of the spindle motor. One strip contacts the sled motor, another strip contacts the guide bar, and another obliquely protruding strip penetrates and contacts a base plate and presses against the casing. A big electrostatic discharge sink is formed to buffer the transient impact caused by high electrostatic charges.
