A method in a controlled node and a corresponding controlled node. The method comprises: receiving, from a control node, a computed result of logical topology for each slice on a physical topology composed by controlled nodes under control of the control node, and splitting information and constraints for each slice (S); splitting a physical port into the at least one logical port for a slice based on the received splitting information (S); associating the at least one logical port for the slice with a slice container (S); applying the constraints for the slice on the at least one logical port (S); generating a routing table for the slice based on the received computed result and the constraints (S); and computing at least one tunnel according to the routing table for the slice based on the slice requirements of the slice (S).

Methods, nodes and computer readable media for tunnel establishment per slice

Embodiments of the invention generally relate to router maintenance. An indication that a first router in the communication network is to be maintained is obtained. A parameter associated with a route selection is set to be a predetermined value responsive to the indication. The value of the parameter is sent to a further router in the communication network, such that probability that the further router selects a route passing through the router to be maintained is below a predetermined threshold. In this way, the route selection during the router maintenance is more cost-effective and efficient.

One of the embodiments of the present invention relates to a method for operating a routing device in a network. The method comprises: receiving, during routing table calculation for a first topology change associated with a first routing device, a message indicative of a second topology change associated with a second routing device; determining a time duration of a hold time period based on a running time required for performing shortest path first calculations for a shortest path between the routing device and the second routing device, wherein the running time is retrieved from a running time database and the running time database is configured to store plural values each of which is indicative of a running time required for performing shortest path first calculations for a shortest path between the routing device and each of other routing devices in the network, wherein during the hold time period, the routing device does not perform any further routing table calculation. The present invention also relates to corresponding routing device.

Method and apparatus for operating a routing device and relevant routing device

The disclosure relates to a node capable of selecting a first port to receive a first synchronization source in a system comprising a plurality of nodes. The node comprises a memory configured to memorize states of each port of the node in a corresponding tree. At least one tree is formed with ports of the plurality of connected nodes according to a second synchronization protocol. The node further comprises a first synchronization source selection unit configured to select the first port according to states of the ports of the node. The first synchronization source so selected will not form a loop in the network. There is also provided a method used in the node.
