The Disclosure concerns a laser projection arrangement and a process for the generation of virtual images, the purpose of which is to present a solution which allows a representation of multiple virtual images in different distances or planes and different points of view and that can be manufactured economically. On the arrangement side, this purpose is solved when one of at least two picture generating units that generate virtual images that differ in their wavelength and/or their polarization is arranged and when a holographic optical element is arranged on or in the projection surface. On the process side, the purpose is solved when two virtual images with different wavelengths and/or different polarizations are generated, when a holographic optical element is provided which exhibits different optical properties for different wavelengths and/or different polarizations, and when, in the case of projection of the virtual images while making use of the holographic optical element, the virtual images are represented, due to the different optical properties, at different distances from the driver and/or in different points of view from the driver.

Laser projection arrangement and process for the generation of virtual images

A head-up display, in particular for use in a vehicle, includes a light source and a projection screen. An intermediate screen is provided for the orientation of light emitted from a light source and, resulting therefrom, for the shaping of an image to be displayed on the projection screen. The intermediate screen is at least partially reflective.

Head-up display

The invention concerns a device for characterization of subjective speckle formation, especially for quantification of the speckle contrast. The device has a projection surface () and a coherent or partly coherent light source () for projecting of an image onto the projection surface (), a detection unit () for generating of speckle images () of the image projected onto the projection surface (), as well as a data acquisition and analysis unit () for processing and evaluation of image data.

Device and method for characterization of subjective speckle formation

A head-up display for a vehicle has a laser and a scanning system. An image, which is to be displayed in the field of vision of the driver of the vehicle and which is composed of individual pixels, is produced pixel-by-pixel by the laser and the scanning system. The head-up display has a projection system having a projection surface and a magnifying optical system. The projection system projects the image to be displayed onto a virtual image plane and magnifies the image in the process. The size of the pixels in the virtual image plane is smaller than the resolving ability of the human eye, which is the case for an angular distance less than 0.5', for example.

Laser scanning head-up display system for vehicles

An interactive display unit for presenting information and for interacting with a user, in particular in a vehicle interior, includes at least one imaging cell including a photorefractive polymer material layer between two transparent substrate carriers in a sealing arrangement. Each substrate carrier includes a transparent electrode layer that faces the photorefractive polymer material layer. A writing light source with a propagation oriented in the direction of the photorefractive polymer material layer is arranged on one of the substrate carriers in a parallel manner with respect to the substrate carrier. A haptic sensor/actuator unit is arranged on the other substrate carrier, and at least one reading light source with a propagation oriented in the direction of the photorefractive polymer material layer is arranged in a lateral manner.
