The invention relates mainly to a rotary electric machine for a motor vehicle. The machine () comprises a shaft (); a rotor (); a stator () comprising a body () provided with slots, and a winding () inserted into the slots; a first bearing () and a second bearing () surrounding an assembly formed by the rotor and the stator and each comprising a housing () for rotatably mounting the rotor shaft (). The first bearing comprises a transverse flange () and a cylindrical wall () of axial orientation derived from an outer periphery of said flange. The second bearing comprises a transverse flange () closing the first bearing and at least one rim () projecting from the flange and forming a junction area () where it joins the first bearing. Furthermore, the stator body has a region (Z) of shrink-fitting to the cylindrical wall.

An electronic assembly for a rotary electric machine for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The electronic assembly includes electronic component blocks having different thermal dissipation needs, the blocks including a power block and a control block. The assembly also includes a device for cooling the blocks and having a protective cover suitable for covering the power and control blocks. The protective cover includes a first set of openings configured to be positioned opposite a first cooling element coupled to the power block, and opposite the control block, the first cooling element being a first dissipator provided with a base plate, the base plate protruding with respect to the power block to create a first radial flow of cooling air (F) for the power block and a second radial flow of cooling air (F) for the control block.

The present invention concerns a protective cover () designed to cover power, filtering and control modules of an electronic assembly for a rotating electric machine for a motor vehicle. Said protective cover () is characterised in that it comprises:&#x2014;openings () designed to generate different cooling air streams (F, F, F, F) for heat dissipation requirements of each of the power, control and filtering modules;&#x2014;the openings of the protective cover () being distributed into: a first set of openings () designed to be positioned facing the fins of a first heat sink coupled to the power module; a second set of openings () designed to be positioned facing the control module; the two sets of openings () being separated by a barrier wall () so as to create a first radial cooling air stream (F) for said power module and a second radial cooling air stream (F) for said control module; and a third set of openings () designed to be positioned facing the fins of a second heat sink coupled to condensers of the filtering module so as to create a third radial cooling air stream (F) for said filtering module.
