The invention relates to the application of a fluid, especially a liquid, to a hot end wall () of at least one thermoplastic container (). For this purpose, a spongy mass () impregnated with the fluid is brought into contact with the end wall () of said at least one container (), said spongy mass being held in contact with the end wall () for a predetermined time. Application in particular to the cooling of the hot end walls of containers leaving a blow molding or stretch-blow molding unit.

Method for applying a fluid to end walls of thermoplastic containers

Device for measuring the permeation of a hollow body provided with an opening such as a neck in particular, this device comprising a chamber in which the follow body is placed, on a support; this hollow body, when placed on its support, together with the chamber defining an internal space and an external space, the device being provided with means for providing sealing between the internal space and the external space, the sealing means comprising three seals, namely a first seal, a second seal termed the intermediate seal, and a third seal, these three seals being housed in grooves belonging to the body of the support, these seals projecting from the side edge of the support and being able and configured to bear against the internal face of the opening of the hollow body; the body of the support, the opening of the object and the seals thus define two spaces positioned between the internal space and the external space, a first space being bordered by a first seal and an intermediate seal, the second space being defined by the intermediate seal and a third seal.

Device for measuring the permeation of a hollow body such as a container

The invention relates to a method for measuring the permeability to gases of the wall of a hollow body () made of polymeric material, characterized: in that it comprises a first conditioning step during which a flushing gas flushes said hollow body (), and a second measuring step during which a measurement gas is introduced into said hollow body (); in that the flow of flushing gas is greater than the flow of the measurement gas, and; the flushing gas is sent into the hollow body () without mixing with the measurement gas.

Method for measuring for permeability to gases with rapid conditioning and installation for carrying out this method

The deposition of a coating on a thermoplastic container surface using low pressure plasma by excitation of a precursor gas with UHF electromagnetic waves in a circular shaped vacuum cavity receiving the container is provided. It includes dimensioning the cavity with respect to the frequency of the UHF electromagnetic waves so as to obtain a coupling mode generating several electromagnetic fields inside the cavity. In particular a TM 120 coupling mode is provided which generates two central fields () inside the cavity, whereby two containers can be simultaneously treated in said cavity.
