Electroanatomic mapping is carried out by inserting a multi-electrode probe into a heart of a living subject, recording electrograms from the electrodes concurrently at respective locations in the heart, delimiting respective activation time intervals in the electrograms, generating a map of electrical propagation waves from the activation time intervals, maximizing coherence of the waves by adjusting local activation times within the activation time intervals of the electrograms, and reporting the adjusted local activation times.

Mapping of atrial fibrillation

A method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises receiving a first image of a patient's anatomy, the first image generated at a first time and depicting a plurality of rigid elements; receiving a second image of the patient's anatomy, the second image generated at a second time after the first time and depicting the plurality of rigid elements; determining a transformation from the first image to the second image for each one of the plurality of rigid elements to yield a set of transformations; calculating a homography for each transformation in the set of transformations to yield a set of homographies; and identifying, using the set of homographies, a common portion of each transformation attributable to a change in camera pose, and an individual portion of each transformation attributable to a change in rigid element pose.

Registration of time-separated X-Ray images

A method, including acquiring initial signals from selected positions in a heart, computing respective initial local values of a signal propagation metric at the selected positions, and interpolating the initial local values between the selected positions to compute initial interpolated values of the signal propagation metric at intermediate positions, between the selected positions. The method further includes acquiring subsequent signals from the positions, computing respective subsequent local values of the signal propagation metric at the selected positions, and spatially interpolating the subsequent local values of the signal propagation metric between the selected positions to compute subsequent interpolated values of the signal propagation metric at the intermediate positions. A map of the signal propagation metric is displayed, and when the subsequent interpolated values exceed a bound defined with respect to the initial interpolated values, an indication is provided on the map that the bound has been exceeded.

Interpolation of dynamic three-dimensional maps

Catheterization of the heart is carried out by inserting a probe having electrodes into a heart of a living subject, recording a bipolar electrogram and a unipolar electrogram from one of the electrodes at a location in the heart, and defining a window of interest wherein a rate of change in a potential of the bipolar electrogram exceeds a predetermined value. An annotation is established in the unipolar electrogram, wherein the annotation denotes a maximum rate of change in a potential of the unipolar electrogram within the window of interest. A quality value is assigned to the annotation, and a 3-dimensional map is generated of a portion of the heart that includes the annotation and the quality value thereof.

Double bipolar configuration for atrial fibrillation annotation

A method, including recording parameters indicative of a quality of ablation performed at one or more sites in a region of a human heart, and receiving a set of electrophysiological signals indicative of a wave of electrical activation flowing through the region. The method further includes identifying locations within the region at which the wave is blocked from flowing and estimating confidence levels with respect to a blockage of the wave at the locations in response to the signals and the parameters. The method also includes displaying a map of the human heart including an indication of the confidence levels.

Wavefront analysis based on ablation parameters

A system and method for automatically navigating an in vivo imaging capsule in a body lumen. The system comprises an imaging capsule including an imager, optional pressure sensor for producing data of forces acting on the imaging capsule in vivo, and a transmitter to transmit image, positioning and pressure data from the capsule to an external unit. A positioning system for providing current position data of the capsule in vivo may be included in the capsule and/or external to it. External magnets may generate a magnetic field to scan a body lumen by causing a predetermined motion pattern of the imaging capsule within a region proximate to its current position, and generate a driving force to propel the imaging capsule according to a calculated target direction vector. A processor may calculate a target direction vector for propelling the imaging capsule based, on unique patterns identifiable in one or more images.

System and method for automatic navigation of a capsule based on image stream captured in-vivo

Apparatus, including a flexible insertion tube, having a distal segment that is configured to be inserted into a body organ. A plurality of elastic branches are connected to the distal segment of the insertion tube at different, respective locations and extend transversely away from the insertion tube at the respective locations. There are one or more respective electrodes disposed on each of the elastic branches and there are conductors traversing the elastic branches so as to couple the electrodes to the insertion tube.

Cardiac catheterization is performed by recording electrograms from a multi-electrode probe at respective locations in the heart, determining slopes and annotations in the electrograms within time windows, establishing relationships among the slopes and annotations of the electrograms, and determining lines of conduction block in the heart from the relationships.
