In a network having at least one slave node including a slave clock, a method of adjusting the slave clock relative to a master clock of a master node includes, at the slave node, correcting a time of day of the slave clock using (a) a slave pulse signal having a known slave pulse rate, (b) a time-of-day counter of the slave node, and (c) a master pulse signal, based on values of the slave clock at nearest corresponding edges of the slave pulse signal and the master pulse signal, and correcting a frequency of the slave clock using the slave pulse signal, a clock signal of the slave node, and the master pulse signal, based on values of the slave clock at nearest corresponding edges of the master pulse signal. No other clock signal from outside the slave node is used for the corrections.

The system may include a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus configured to acquire MRI data with respect to a region of interest (ROI) and a therapeutic apparatus configured to apply therapeutic radiation to at least one portion of the ROI. Example methods and systems to perform a migration of a virtualized computing instance and its first snapshot hierarchy from a first object store to a second object store have been disclosed. One example method includes identifying a first disk chain of the first snapshot hierarchy having an object running point, identifying a second disk chain of the first snapshot hierarchy different from the first disk chain, and migrating the second disk chain from the first object store to the second object store to form a first branch of a second snapshot hierarchy in the second object store. After the migrating, the example method includes instructing to take a first native snapshot on the object running point in the second object store, instructing to revert the object running point along the first branch and migrating the first disk chain from the first object store to the second object store.

Migration of virtualized computing instance with multiple disk chains in virtualized computing environment

A distributed system, such as a distributed storage system in a virtualized computing environment and having storage nodes arranged in a cluster, is provided by management server with a transition period between non-encryption and encryption modes of operation. The transition period enables all of the nodes to complete a transition from the non-encryption mode of operation to the encryption mode of operation, without loss of data-in-transit (DIT). An auto-remediation feature is provided by the management server to the cluster, so as to fix inconsistent state(s) of one or more nodes in the cluster.
