An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera module, a display, a plurality of detectors, and at least one processor, and the at least one processor may be configured to detect at least one first region of interest (ROI) in a first image received through the camera module by using a first detector for first ROI detection among the plurality of detectors, detect at least one second ROI in a second image received through the camera module by using a second detector for second ROI detection among the plurality of detectors when failing in detecting at least one first ROI matching the at least one first ROI detected in the first image in the second image by using the first detector, estimate at least one first ROI based on the at least one second ROI, update the estimated at least one first ROI to at least one first ROI when the at least one first ROI detected in the first image matches the estimated at least one first ROI, and change a position of a preview region including the updated at least one first ROI based on a position of the estimated at least one first ROI matching the at least one first ROI detected in the first image.

Electronic device and method for tracking regions of interest in the electronic device

An electronic device includes a display, a camera, and a processor. The processor receives, while displaying a preview image through the display based on at least portion of image frames obtained through the camera, an input with respect to a preset button. The processor switches to an auto framing mode in response to the photographing input. The processor identifies a first area matched to a subject captured by the camera, and a second area including a preset portion of the subject in the first area. The processor, based on predicting a moving direction of the subject in the image frames by a position of the second area in the first area, displays the preview image by performing cropping with respect to at least one of the image frames.

Method for providing avatar and electronic device supporting the same

An electronic device is provided and includes a camera, a display, and a processor. The processor may be configured to control the display to display a second image determined based on a posture of the electronic device from a first image obtained using the camera, detect a finger object from the second image, identify a first virtual key corresponding to the finger object from a virtual keyboard based on a position and a degree of bending of the finger object, and identify an input of the first virtual key based on detecting a typing movement of the finger object.
