The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling allocation of mobile devices (-) to frequency bands in a radio site (), and a device () performing the method. In an aspect, a method of a radio base station () of controlling allocation of mobile devices (-) to frequency bands in a radio site () is provided. The method comprises estimating (S) power consumption of the radio base station () caused by radio traffic of the mobile devices (-) in each frequency band of the radio site (), determining (S) whether or not power consumption of the radio base station () is decreased by reallocating at least one of the mobile devices (-) from one frequency band to another frequency band, while not exceeding a power headroom limit of said another frequency band, and if so reallocating (S) said at least one mobile device from said one frequency band to said another frequency band.

Allocation of mobile devices to frequency bands of a radio site

The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling power supply units (-) of a base station (), and a device () performing the method. In an aspect, a method of a base station scheduling device () of controlling power supply units (-) of a base station () is provided. The method comprises acquiring (S-) information indicating a value of voltage input to at least one of the power supply units (-) of the base station (), determining (S) from said value if the voltage input to said at least one of the power supply units (-) is sufficient, and if not determining (S) power demand of the base station (), and deactivating (S) said at least one power supply unit, if remaining power supply units (-) is capable of supplying the demanded power.

Method for improving base station efficiency and power consumption

A method is proposed for managing a tree-based learner as following. In an initialisation phase: training the tree-based learner with a first set of specimen data to process input data with an active model chain comprising at least a root model to generate an output, each member of the first set of specimen data having a value of each of a first set of features; in an automated reconfiguration phase: receiving a new set of specimen data; performing a comparison between the new set of specimen data and the first set of specimen data; responding to the executed comparison indicating new values of a feature in the new set of specimen data, by reconfiguring the tree-based learner by the addition of a new sub-model to the active model chain, the new sub-model being trained to process at least the new values of the feature.

Method, program, and apparatus for managing a tree-based learner

It is presented a method for managing communication data. The method is performed by a connection manager server () and comprising the step of: causing store () of historical communication data, for a communication session between a user and one or more contacts, into a database (), wherein the historical communication data comprises communication data, a session identifier, a communication type, a communication context, and a user identifier for each contact having participated in the communication session. It is presented a method for managing a jitter buffer depth for receiving real-time communication. The method is performed in a receiver and comprises the steps of: determining an adaptive bitrate state of the receiver when a current capacity of a communication channel for receiving the real-time communication is below a maximum bitrate for receiving the real-time communication; and increasing a depth of a jitter buffer for receiving the real-time communication when the adaptive bitrate state is determined.

Managing a jitter buffer size

A method and arrangement for employing media layer adaptation in a wireless communication of media in data packets from a sending node to a receiving node, by determining a fitting frame aggregation scheme in an effective and accurate manner. An arrival time AT and generation time GT are monitored for packets when received at the packet receiving node. A difference ATdiff in the arrival time of consecutive packets and a difference GTdiff in the generation time of the packets, are calculated. Then, an inter-arrival measure IA is calculated as the deviation between the arrival time difference ATdiff and generation time difference GTdiff. When the inter-arrival jitter exceeds a preset threshold (Th), a frame aggregation scheme is determined based on the calculated inter-arrival jitter IA and applied in the packet communication.
