An apparatus for an S-BS includes processing circuitry configured to decode configuration signaling from a plurality of S-UEs. The configuration signaling indicates an interference level at each of the plurality of S-UEs from transmissions of an M-BS. An S-UE is selected based on a comparison of the interference level at each S-UE with an interference threshold of each S-UE. Control signaling is encoded for transmission to the selected S-UE via a small cell access (S-AC) communication link. The control signaling is transmitted during the reception of downlink data from the M-BS via a primary backhaul communication link.

Full duplex communications in wireless networks

Various embodiments herein provide techniques for reducing computational complexity in multiple input multiple output (MIMO, e.g., massive MIMO (mMIMO)) communications, such as efficient decomposition of a channel covariance matrix. Embodiments enable accurate mMIMO channel estimation with relatively low computational complexity compared with prior techniques. Additionally, embodiments may provide efficient beamforming and/or spatial compression. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Techniques to improve computational efficiency in massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems

The present disclosure is directed to improvements in interference mitigation for Adjacent Channel Leakage in wireline communication, and more specifically, but not exclusively, to improved kernel designs that can facilitate interference mitigation for Adjacent Channel Leakage in cable modem systems. Examples of the present disclosure provide an apparatus for a transceiver device that comprises interference cancellation circuitry configured to cancel interference caused by upstream signals in one or more upstream sub-bands on one or more downstream sub-bands based on a combination of a plurality of kernels. The interference is at least partially caused by non-linearities within a transmission circuitry of the transceiver device, the plurality of kernels representing the non-linearities within the transmission circuitry of the transceiver device. Each of the kernels comprises one or more associated terms, with each of the associated terms being in-band for at least one of the one or more downstream sub-bands.

Interference cancellation in a transceiver device

Systems and methods of beamforming and improving mmWave communications for drones are described. Multiple RF chains are used to adapt the main beam to track changes without the use of pilot signals. To reduce interference, interfering signal power is eliminated by optimizing a non-Gaussian measure to extract the interferers. The AoA of signals from a target drone on neighbouring drones and location of the neighbouring drones and base stations are used to independently corroborate the location reported by the target drone. The base station provides additional synchronization signals below 6 GHz and restricts the search/measurement space in the vertical direction. The inherent sparse structure above 6 GHz is exploited by applying different beamformers on a sounding signal and estimating the AoA and impulse response. Variations of fully digital and hybrid beamforming architectures for multi-cell DL sync and CRS measurement are described.

Techniques for elevated device communication

Systems, methods, computer program products, and apparatuses to determine, by a neural network based on training data related to wireless signals exchanged by a device and a plurality of wireless access points in an environment, a respective distance between the device and each wireless access point, receive location data related to a respective location of each wireless access point of the plurality of wireless access points, determine a geometric cost of the neural network based on a geometric cost function, the respective distances, and the received location data, and train a plurality of values of the neural network based on a backpropagation and the determined geometric cost.

Disclosed herein are methods and apparatuses configured to direct wireless communication. An apparatus of a station (STA) for parameter update for range-based positioning, the apparatus including processing circuitry configured to perform a distance estimating method with access points (APs) to determine distance estimates between the APs and the STA, the distant estimating method including parameters, and configured to determine a location of the STA based on the distance estimates between the APs and the STAs and locations of the APs. The processing circuitry further configured to: update the parameters by subtracting from a parameter of the parameters a learning rate times a derivative of a cost function with respect to the parameter, where the cost function is based on the determined location of the STA, the locations of the APs, and the distance estimates between the APs and the STA.

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, and systems for enhanced control signaling using full-duplex communication in wireless communication networks. A base station may schedule a first user equipment (UE) for primary access to a set of time-frequency resources in a first communication direction (e.g., uplink or downlink). The base station may additionally schedule a second UE for secondary access to the same set of time-frequency resources in a second communication direction that is the opposite of the first communication direction. The secondary access may be used to communicate supplemental control information, such as a channel quality indicator (CQI) and/or modulation and coding scheme (MCS) feedback, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, and/or multiple input multiple output (MIMO) feedback (e.g., including a rank indicator (RI) and/or a pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI). Enhanced control signaling using full-duplex communication in wireless communication network

Devices and methods of providing joint scheduling in a full-duplex LTE system are generally described. The UE measures intra-cell interference at the UE caused by a UL transmission from each intra-cell UE, calculates a ratio of the intra-cell interference over an average inter-cell interference, determines whether the intra-cell UE is an aggressor or non-aggressor based on whether the ratio exceeds a threshold, transmits at least some of the determinations to the eNB as feedback, and communicates with the eNB based on a schedule that is dependent on the feedback such that the UE is neither an aggressor nor is subject to interference from aggressors. The schedule may also be based on wideband CQI feedback based on a ratio of an average overall DL interference plus noise over the average inter-cell interference plus noise and/or subband CQI feedback based on SINR measurements.
