The drive provider portion () includes a driving portion () of a shaft () operably coupled to the motor (), and the drive receiver portion () includes a driven portion () of the shaft (). The driving portion (), the drive receiver portion (), and the motor () share a common axis (). The power head () receives the battery () at an opposite end of the power head housing () relative to an end of the power head housing () at which the motor () is located, and the handle () extends from a first portion of the power head housing () above the motor () to a second portion of the power head housing () above the battery ().

A battery-powered tool () may include a first tool-side electrical contact (), a battery detection switch (), a tool load (), and a load connection switching device (). The load connection switching device () may be configured to make an electrical connection between the first tool-side electrical contact () and the tool load () in response to a state change of the battery detection switch (). The tool () may define engagement positions with the battery (). In the first engagement position, a first battery-side electrical contact () is electrically coupled to a first tool-side electrical contact (), and the battery detection switch () is not physically engaged. The structures disposed at the power head () and the structures disposed at the housing of the tool attachment () for defining the drive power transfer assembly are configured to contact each other before the structures disposed at the power head () and the structures disposed at the housing of the tool attachment () for defining the electronic assembly contact each other responsive to operably coupling of the power head mating interface () to the tool mating interface ().
