Methods and systems for determining information for a specimen are provided. One system includes a computer subsystem and one or more components executed by the computer subsystem that include a setup deep learning (DL) model configured for separately performing defect detection for a specimen based on output generated for the specimen by each of two or more modes of an inspection system, respectively, and separately re-performing defect detection for the specimen based on masked output generated for each of the modes, respectively. The computer subsystem determines a difference between results of separately performing and separately re-performing the defect detections for each of the modes, respectively, and identifies a subset of the modes for which the difference is larger than other modes as candidate mode(s) for inspection of the specimen.

Deep learning based mode selection for inspection

A display may include an array of pixels covered by lenticular lenses. The lenticular lenses may cause expansion of light primarily in a horizontal direction. To improve the perceived resolution of the display, the horizontal resolution of the pixels on the display may be increased. In one possible layout, each pixel includes one red sub-pixel, one blue sub-pixel, and one green sub-pixel. The sub-pixels may be non-square rectangular. The sub-pixels may be the same size or may have the same widths and different heights. Each pixel may be asymmetric about a horizontal axis. In a given row, the pixels may alternate between first and second layouts. The second layout may be a vertically flipped version of the first layout.

Pixel arrangements for displays with lenticular lenses

An electronic device may include a lenticular display. The lenticular display may have a lenticular lens film formed over an array of pixels. A plurality of lenticular lenses may extend across the length of the display. The lenticular lenses may be configured to enable stereoscopic viewing of the display such that a viewer perceives three-dimensional images. Crosstalk between viewing zones and disparity between images received from different viewing zones may result in disparity-caused shifts in images perceived by viewer of the lenticular display. To mitigate these disparity-caused shifts, compensation circuitry may be included in the display pipeline circuitry. The compensation circuitry may include stored disparity-caused shift calibration information that is used for the compensation. The stored disparity-caused shift calibration information may be a polynomial function that outputs a magnitude of disparity-caused shift for a given pixel location.

An electronic device may include a stereoscopic display with a plurality of lenticular lenses that extend across the length of the display. The lenticular lenses may be configured to enable stereoscopic viewing of the display such that a viewer perceives three-dimensional images. The display may have different viewing zones that account for horizontal parallax as a viewer moves horizontally relative to the display. The display may be dimmed globally, blurred, and/or composited with a default image based on the detected vertical position of the viewer. The display may render content that compensates for the real-time vertical positions of multiple viewers.

In certain disclosed embodiments, the solid-state anolyte, electrolyte, and catholyte thin films, separators, and monoliths consist essentially of an oxide that conducts Liions. In some examples, the disclosure herein presents new and useful solid electrolytes for solid-state or partially solid-state batteries. In some examples, the disclosure presents new lithium-stuffed garnet solid electrolytes and rechargeable batteries which include these electrolytes as separators between a cathode and a lithium metal anode.

Lithium-stuffed garnet electrolytes with a reduced surface defect density and methods of making and using the same

The instant disclosure sets forth multiphase lithium-stuffed garnet electrolytes having secondary phase inclusions, wherein these secondary phase inclusions are material(s) which is/are not a cubic phase lithium-stuffed garnet but which is/are entrapped or enclosed within a lithium-stuffed garnet. When the secondary phase inclusions described herein are included in a lithium-stuffed garnet at 30-0.1 volume %, the inclusions stabilize the multiphase matrix and allow for improved sintering of the lithium-stuffed garnet. The electrolytes described herein, which include lithium-stuffed garnet with secondary phase inclusions, have an improved sinterability and density compared to phase pure cubic lithium-stuffed garnet having the formula LiLaZrO.

A display may include light-emitting components such as light-emitting diodes on a transparent substrate. Conductive signal paths between the light-emitting components, driver integrated circuits for controlling the light-emitting components, and the light-emitting components themselves may be opaque. To mitigate diffraction artifacts caused by the opaque components, the opaque footprint of the display may be selected to include non-periodic portions. The non-periodic portions increase randomness and reduce periodicity within the opaque footprint, which mitigates perceptible diffraction artifacts when viewing the display. One or both of the component mounting portions and interconnect portions of the opaque footprint may be non-periodic. The component mounting portions may have random shapes. The interconnect portions may follow random paths between the component mounting portions.

In an embodiment, an electronic device includes a display and an eye tracker. The display includes one or more foveated areas. In the embodiment, the eye tracker is configured to collect eye tracking data regarding a gaze of one or more eyes of a user on the display. The electronic device also includes processing circuitry operatively coupled to the display. In the embodiment, the processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a motion associated with the gaze from the eye tracker. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a previous location associated with the gaze during a previous frame and a target position associated with the gaze during a target frame. In the embodiment, the processing circuitry is configured to expand one or more foveated areas of the display adjacent a previous position of the gaze of the user.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing maximum transmit power control when utilizing multiple radio access technologies. For example, a wireless communication device comprising two cellular radios may intend to transmit on the first radio, while concurrently transmitting on the second radio. To ensure compliance with a maximum transmit power limitation, the device may determine an allowed transmit power level of the first radio, representing a difference between the maximum transmit power limitation and the current transmit power level being transmitted by the second radio. The device may also determine a threshold power level for a communication by the first radio. If the allowed transmit power level meets the threshold power level, then the device may transmit the first communication having a power level between the threshold power level and the allowed transmit power level. Otherwise, the device may forego transmission of the first communication.

Techniques are described for providing an extension framework for an IT and security operations application. The described extension framework allows various types of users to extend the user interfaces, data content, and functionality of an IT and security operations application to enhance and enrich users' workflow and investigative experiences. Example types of extensions enabled by the extension framework include modifying or supplementing GUI elements and other components, where users can implement these extensions at pre-defined extension points of the IT and security operations application. The extension framework further includes a data integration system that provides users with mechanisms to integrate data from external applications, services, or other data sources into their plugins.

A method of fabricating a stretchable and flexible electronic device includes forming each of the functional layers is by: (i) forming on an elastomer substrate a conductive interconnect pattern having islands interconnected by bridges; (ii) applying a conductive paste to the islands; (iii) positioning at least one functional electronic component on each island; and (iv) applying heat to cause the conductive paste to reflow. An elastomer encapsulant is formed over the functional electronic components and the conductive interconnect pattern on each of the functional layers. The elastomer encapsulant has a Young's modulus equal to or less than that of the substrate. The encapsulant includes a pigment to increase absorption of laser light. At least one via is laser ablated, which provides electrical connection to any two functional layers. The via is filled with solder paste to create a bond and electrical connection between the functional layers.

Three-dimensional integrated stretchable electronics

An electronic device may be provided with an ambient light sensor, a display that displays image content, and control circuitry. The control circuitry may adjust a peak allowable brightness of the display based on an ambient light brightness and based on the image content being displayed. For example, the control circuitry may analyze frames of display data to determine an average pixel luminance level. Low average pixel luminance levels correspond to mostly dark image content, whereas high average pixel luminance levels correspond to mostly light image content. When an electronic device is outdoors and displaying mostly dark images with low average pixel luminance levels, the control circuitry may take advantage of the display's maximum achievable brightness to improve readability. When an electronic device is outdoors and displaying mostly light images with high average pixel luminance levels, the control circuitry may scale the maximum allowable brightness down to reduce power consumption.
