A method can include checking states of valves of equipment with respect to a workflow specification according to a checking order defined by assigned numbers; responsive to the checking of the states of the valves, identifying individual valves that are not in a corresponding state as indicated by the workflow specification; and generating a sequence for changing the state of each of the individual valves that is not in its corresponding state to its corresponding state.

A technique facilitates greasing of valves on a well tree, e.g. a frac tree, according to a simple process which enables selected, individual valves to be greased when desired. In some applications, the greasing process may be automated and controlled via a greasing control system. According to an embodiment, a greasing system is connected with grease ports at a plurality of actuatable valves located in a well tree. The greasing system has a plurality of grease valves which may be associated with each of the actuatable valves, e.g. with each of the grease ports. A pump is used to pump grease to the grease valves and the grease valves are selectively actuated to open positions to provide controlled greasing of desired actuatable valves so as to remove debris from and to lubricate selected actuatable valves.

System and method for valve greasing in a well tree

A technique facilitates use of tools downhole during well operations. According to an embodiment, the technique employs a frac stack which may be coupled to a wellhead. The frac stack may include a flow control device which opens and closes a bore extending through the wellhead. A lubricator may be coupled to the frac stack. The lubricator includes a tool trap which opens and closes to facilitate controlled movement of a tool along the bore. A tool position detection system is used to detect a position of the tool in the tool trap to ensure, for example, removal of the tool from the frac stack before closure of the flow control device.

A collaborative system and method for performing wellsite tasks for performing oilfield operations is provided. The system includes a universal bank to store wellsite materials and wellsite instructions, a tag to identify the new wellsite materials, a mobile unit carried by an operator at the wellsite, and a universal bank. The mobile unit is connectable to the universal bank via a wellsite communication link, and includes a wellsite input and a wellsite receiver. The universal bank is connectable to universal resources via a universal communication link, and includes a universal receiver to receive the new wellsite materials from the universal bank. The universal bank includes a universal input to upload universal materials and validated wellsite instructions to the universal bank based on the input wellsite materials whereby wellsite materials and wellsite instructions are selectively accessible by the operator.

Collaborative system and method for performing wellsite tasks

Various implementations described herein are directed to a method for managing a workflow for an oilfield operation. The method may include receiving a request to perform the task workflow. The method may also include loading an adapted task workflow based on historical information. The method may further include receiving an input pertaining to one or more tasks of the adapted task workflow. In addition, the method may include determining whether the one or more tasks have been completed based on the received input.
