A lens includes a central optical portion, a peripheral portion surrounding the central optical portion, a first ZnS coating formed on the central optical portion and the peripheral portion at one side of the lens, and a first MgFcoating formed the central optical, the peripheral portion being free of MgFcoating formed thereon. The optical thickness of the first ZnS coating is one quarter of a wavelength of predetermined light passing therethrough. The optical thickness of the first MgFcoating is one quarter of the wavelength of the predetermined light.

An optical measuring device () for measuring a micro displacement or a micro vibration of an object () includes a laser emitter (), an amplifying lens module (), and a photoelectric sensor (). The laser emitter is configured for emitting a laser beam at the object so that the object reflects the laser beam and forms a beam reflection. The amplifying lens module is disposed between the photoelectric sensor and the object for the beam reflection passing there through. The amplifying lens module has an optical axis parallel to the beam reflection. The photoelectric sensor includes a receiving plane () for perpendicularly receiving the beam reflection reflected by the object.

An apparatus for manipulating a camera lens includes a frame (), a driving rod (), a linking rod (), and a driven rod (). A guiding member () is formed on a side surface of the frame including a through hole () defined therein. One end of the driving rod pivotedly connected to the frame. One end of the linking rod is pivotedly connected to the other end of the driving rod. The driven rod extends through the through hole of the guiding member. One end of the driven rod is pivotedly connected to the other end of the linking rod, and the other end includes a lens-holder configured for holding the lens.

A mold apparatus includes an upper mold having an upper molding plate and an upper molding core, and a bottom mold having a bottom molding plate for matching with the upper molding plate and a bottom molding core. A clamping apparatus for clamping optical elements () includes a first fixture (), a second fixture () and two mounting members (). The first fixture defines a plurality of holding holes (). The second fixture defines a plurality of holding grooves () corresponding to the holding holes. The holding grooves and holding holes are configured for cooperatively positioning the optical elements. At least one mounting member is configured for adjustably mounting the first fixture and the second fixture so that the first fixture and the second fixture are movable so as to position the optical elements in different positions.

Clamping apparatus for clamping optical element

A method for measuring displacement of an object () having a flat surface (), includes the following steps. When the object is in a first position (A), a first laser beam is emitted onto the flat surface at a first incident angle, the first laser beam thereby is reflected by the flat surface and incident onto a light sensitive transducer () at a first incident location () at a second incident angle. The object is then moved to a second position (B), second laser beam is emitted onto the flat surface at the first incident angle, the second laser is reflected by the flat surface and incident onto the light sensitive transducer at a second incident location (') at the second incident angle. Lastly the displacement (D) of the object is calculated according to a distance (L) between the first and second incident location.

Method and apparatus for measuring displacement of an object

A vibration measuring and monitoring system () for an object () includes a laser unit (), a laser sensor unit (), and a processor (). The laser unit is used for emitting a laser beam (). The laser sensor unit is used for receiving the laser beam, and the laser sensor detects a light intensity signal of the laser beam. The processor is used for processing the light intensity signal of the laser beam. The object is partially disposed between the laser unit and the laser sensor unit. The laser beam crosses the object and is received by the laser sensor unit. The processor obtains a vibration signal by processing the light intensity signal.

Vibration measuring and monitoring system

An exemplary method for grinding workpieces is provided. Firstly, a plurality of workpieces () are bonded together. The bonded workpieces have a central axis (). Secondly, a grinding wheel () is provided. The grinding wheel has a rotating axis (), and the rotating axis is perpendicular to the central axis. Thirdly, the bonded workpieces are rotated around the central axis. Fourthly, the grinding wheel is placed near to the bonded workpieces, and the rotating axis and the central axis are separated by a predetermined perpendicular distance. Finally, the grinding wheel is rotationally moved along the central axis to grind the workpieces whilst maintaining the predetermined distance between the rotating axis and the central axis.

Apparatus and method for grinding workpieces

In this study, plate type heat pipes having mesh capillaries were investigated experimentally and theoretically. A test apparatus was designed to test thermal performance of a plate type copper-water heat pipe having one or two layers of #50 or #80 mesh capillary structures with 5 to 50 W heat input. A working fluid charge volume fraction varied from 13% to 50% of the heat pipe internal space. In addition to horizontal orientation, the heat pipes were tested with the evaporator section elevated up to a 40 degree inclination angle. Temperature distribution of the heat pipe was measured, and the evaporator, adiabatic and condensation resistance of the heat pipe were calculated separately. The effects of mesh size, charge volume, and inclination angle on each thermal resistance were discussed. In general, the #80 mesh yields lower thermal resistances; and inclination angle has more significant effect on the condenser section than the evaporator section. Theoretical models were proposed to interpolate the evaporation and condensation phenomena shown by the experiments. The present model predicts the experimental data of evaporation resistance to within &#xb1;20%, and most condensation resistance data to within &#xb1;30%.

Measuring device for heat pipe

A phase-change heat dissipating device includes a hollow tube and a driving member connected to the tube. The tube has a vaporizing portion and a condensing portion and contains working fluid therein. The driving member includes a number of shrinkable chambers serially connected together to drive the working fluid to flow.
