The present invention relates generally to measuring lengths. Typically one would use a ruler or tape ruler to measure units of distance, and to measure surface area of objects of a variety of shapes and sizes. However, in existing technology when using a ruler or tape ruler one cannot measure objects with complex shapes and sizes such as objects with a curved path, curved shape or irregular shape. Therefore, this new invention of Tapeless Measure Gauge provides a handheld digital rolling measuring gauge in a single item solution to accurately measure such objects varying from a flat surface, to a curved surface or shape or irregular shape.

The current marking gauges, mortise gauges and circle marking gauges on the market require use of a ruler to measure distances prior to marking, which is inconvenient and time consuming. Moreover, the accuracy of the marked dimension is inexact due to the low accuracy of using a ruler. Furthermore, parallax error created by transferring the measured distance between the rule and the gauges also needs to be accounted for, which reduces accuracy even further. This present invention helps to improve the accuracy of the measurement and marking of the gauges, increases efficiency, convenience, saves time and is easy to use. The new product is a digital multifunctional marking gauge, that includes a Digital Unit, Main Slider, Beam, Display, Fixed Pin, Adjustable Pin, Adjustment Slider, Fence, Calibration Frame, Calibration bar, Setting Block, Scriber, Set function button of the Digital Unit, Locking Screw, Fixing Screws and related components.

This high-speed measuring electronic digital outside micrometer features: a linear motion digital sensor, a linear scale digital sensor, a linear motion digital sensor base, a digital display unit, an electronic processing unit, a micrometer body, a linear spindle, a linear spindle movement unit, a spindle control unit, a micrometer anvil, and retractable springs. In a stationary position, the measuring surface of the micrometer anvil and the linear spindle are in contact to the other. By operating the spindle control unit, it will create distance between the micrometer anvil and the linear spindle measuring surface. This distance is a measurable distance of the micrometer. By set free of the spindle control unit, the retractable springs will re-set the micrometer to its stationary position.
