Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for guard period configuration between subband full duplex and half duplex symbols and slots. An example method that may be performed at a user equipment (UE) includes obtaining an indication of a guard period during which a cell in which the UE is communicating will switch between subband full duplex (SBFD) communications and half duplex (HD) communications; and performing one or more actions during the guard period, in accordance with the indication.

In a wireless communication system, a first wireless node may transmit a configuration message indicating one or more spatial configurations for communicating with a second wireless node. A spatial configuration may include one or more different sets of spatial parameters for half-duplex communications and full-duplex communications between the wireless nodes. In some examples, the first wireless node may select a first set of spatial parameters for half-duplex communications or a second set of spatial parameters for full-duplex communications based on an explicit indication or a resource configuration. The wireless nodes may perform half- or full-duplex communications using the first or second set of spatial parameters, respectively, in accordance with the configuration message.

A base station may identify time and frequency resources for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) in a first transmission time interval (TTI). The base station may transmit configuration information for a control channel search space set in a second TTI. The second TTI may precede the first TTI. The configuration information may include an indication of an absence of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission to send in the control channel search space set indicating the identified time and frequency resources for the PDSCH, and a set of time and frequency resources for the control channel search space set. The UE may receive the configuration information and identify the time and frequency resources allocated for the PDSCH in the second TTI, and receive the PDSCH transmission in the second TTI.

Wireless communications systems and methods related to beam failure detection (BFD) in a dormancy bandwidth part (BWP) are provided. A user equipment (UE) determines to operate in a dormancy mode for a cell of a wireless communication network. The UE operates in the dormancy mode for the cell of the wireless communication network, where the operating in the dormancy mode includes performing a beam failure detection (BFD) in a dormancy bandwidth part (BWP) based on a configuration. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which different component carriers (CCs) or bandwidth parts (BWPs) of a system operating according to carrier aggregation may be configured with different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. A base station may transmit control information to a user equipment (UE) to activate two or more CCs, and that indicates two or more different sets of TCI states that are activated for the two or more CCs. The control information may be transmitted to the UE in a single MAC-CE. The single MAC-CE to activate different sets of TCI states at CCs or BWPs may allow for a reduced number of MAC-CEs used for conveying the set of active TCI states for the CCS or BWPs.

Determining, by a user equipment (UE) of a wireless communication system, that a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission of the UE carrying uplink control information (UCI) will collide upon transmission with another physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission of the UE.
