A lighting device () is disclosed comprising a glass housing () delimiting an optical chamber (), wherein at least one solid state lighting (SSL) element () is mounted within the optical chamber. The optical chamber () further comprises a light exit window () mounted in an aperture () of the optical chamber opposite the at least one solid state lighting element, the light exit window comprising a sealing plate sealed to the glass housing by a glass seal (); and a light-transmissive thermal barrier () extending across the optical chamber in between the sealing plate and the at least one solid state lighting element, which protects the at least one SSL element () from thermal damage during the formation of the glass seal (). Also disclosed are a luminaire including such a lighting device and a method of manufacturing such a lighting device.

Solid state lighting device and luminaire

Various embodiments of the present application provide a lamp device, an LED lamp, and a luminaire. The lamp device according to the embodiments of the present utility mode comprises: a lamp cap having a central pin () for providing an electrical connection to the lamp device; and a printed circuit board at least partially located within the lamp cap, wherein a lamp driver () is mounted on the printed circuit board; characterized in that a bottom edge of said printed circuit board includes a notch () comprising a first contact electrically contacting said central pin. The lamp device according to the present application improves the assembly of the lamp device and enhances the production efficiency.

In various embodiments, disclosed is a lighting device comprising a bulbous body mounted on a cap, and an inner surface of the bulbous body comprising a plurality of steps that are axially displaced relative to each other along a central axis of the lighting device. Lighting device

There is provided a lighting devicecomprising a light source, a driver arranged for powering the light source, which is separated in space from the light source. The lighting device has two separate heat sinks, a light source heat sinkto which the light source is thermally coupled, and a driver heat sinkto which the driver is thermally coupled. The light source heat sink and the driver heat sink are separated by an air gapto provide thermal decoupling of the light source heat sink and the driver heat sink.

The invention provides an illumination apparatus () and a method of assembling the illumination apparatus. The illumination apparatus comprises a light source () having a plurality of LED arrays, wherein at least two of the plurality of LED arrays have different lumen degradations as a function of junction temperature of the respective LED arrays; and a heat dissipation unit () configured to be capable of dissipating heat generated by the light source, wherein the heat dissipation unit is mounted on a first surface of the light source in such a way that there is a gap between the first surface and the heat dissipation unit when the light source is not in operation, and the gap is narrowed or can be deemed to disappear when the light source reaches a preset temperature, so that the heat dissipation efficiency of the heat dissipation unit is improved.
