A method can include obtaining information on at least one of the following: resource occupation of a reconfigurable functional unit associated with hardware accelerator resources or GPP resources, power consumption of a hardware accelerator associated with hardware accelerator resources, and power consumption of a server associated with GPP resources. The method can also include performing processing on the reconfigurable functional unit based on the obtained information, the processing including at least one of configuration, reconfiguration, and migration. The method and apparatus of certain embodiments may increase efficiency of resource management of the edge cloud, lower system energy consumption, and/or enable more efficient virtualization mechanisms for hardware accelerator resources.

Method and apparatus for resource management in edge cloud

The present disclosure provides a method for resource reconfiguration and the corresponding device. A method provided in a first aspect of the present disclosure comprises: at a controller for managing a baseband unit (BU) pool, determining system status and resource usage conditions of the BU pool; based on the system status and the resource usage conditions, identifying a resource that needs to be reconfigured, the resource being selected from a virtual machine running on a server in the BU pool or from a processing module in an accelerator in the BU pool; determining an address of a target device using the resource, wherein the target device is selected from servers or accelerators in the BU pool; and instructing the target device to reconfigure the resource. The solution of the present disclosure effects reconfiguration of all resources in cloud RAN.

Method and device for resource reconfiguration

The present invention provides a data transmitting method with hybrid automatic repeat request in multi-carrier system. In this method, the signal-to-noise ratios of respective sub-carriers are compared with a threshold, the data on the sub-carriers having the signal-to-noise ratios lower than the threshold are selectively retransmitted by mapping these data onto the sub-carriers having the good channel conditions, and then the retransmitted data are combined hybrid-automatically in the receiver of the opposite terminal. By using the method the system throughput can be enhanced effectively without impairing the bit error rate of the system.

Data transmitting method with hybrid automatic repeat request in multi-carrier system

The present invention provides a HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) combining method in an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system, which adopts improved Chase combining method weighted by SNR and variance of SNR to realize HARQ combining. The method can improve system performance in processing power and time delay, particularly in low SNR environment, and will not make the system more complex.

Hybrid automatic repeat request combining method in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system

The present invention discloses a method of idle mode control in an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system. By superposing idle mode control channels on a frame synchronization pattern in the frame header of an OFDM frame, mobile terminals at a low migration rate will be switched into idle mode during packet service transmission intermission period. The mobile terminals in idle mode needn't do FFT to check whether there is any packet to be received after receiving every frame, thereby the power energy of the mobile terminals is greatly saved.

Method of idle mode control in OFDM system

The present invention discloses a method and device for adaptive modulation and coding based on second order statistics of channel information in OFDM system, characterized in that, by means of variance of Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) an appropriate adaptation time window is selected dynamically to trace time-varying channel better; and in that a decision criterion of second order, namely selecting an appropriate modulation and coding schemes (MCS) according to average value of SNR and variance of SNR, is employed to obtain accurate mapping from SNR to MCS. The mapping enhances practicability of the adaptive modulation and coding, decreases probability of system outage, and thus results in better performance of bit error rate.
