An apparatus and method for transmitting information bits via an optical communication system, the apparatus including a distribution matcher (DM) configured to receive information bits and to generate shaped symbols relating to the information bits; a pre-deinterleaver (PDI) coupled to the DM and configured to apply a perturbation function q(n) to the shaped symbols to produce pre-deinterleaved symbols; an error reduction processor (ERP) coupled to the PDI and configured to receive computer instructions which, when executed, prompt the ERP to produce error reduction symbols from the pre-deinterleaved symbols, the error reduction symbols being perturbed from the pre-deinterleaved symbols by a perturbation function p(n), q(n) being an inverse of p(n); and a modulator coupled to the ERP and configured to convert the error reduction symbols into optical signals configured for transmission via an optical communication system.

In one embodiment, a method for calculating a location of an autonomous driving vehicle includes receiving new global navigation satellite system (GNSS) data. The method further includes identifying a first previously estimated location from a plurality of previously estimated locations with a timestamp that is closest to the timestamp of the new GNSS data and identifying a second previously estimated location from the plurality of previously estimated locations with a most recent timestamp. The method further includes calculating a difference between the first previously estimated location and the second previously estimated location, adjusting the new GNSS data based on the difference; and calculating a current estimated location of the ADV based on the adjusted GNSS data.

In one embodiment, a system includes a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver unit, a first inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a second IMU. The CDU is coupled to a heat transfer system to dissipate the exchanged heat to an external environment. Each server blade includes a server tray to contain information technology (IT) components and a quick-release coupling assembly having a first liquid intake connector and a first liquid outlet connector coupled to a flexible hose to distribute the heat removal liquid to the IT components. The first liquid intake connector and the first liquid outlet connector are capable of extending outwardly external to the server tray to connect to, and disconnect from, a second liquid intake connector and a second liquid outlet connector mounted on the liquid manifold, respectively. The quick-release coupling assembly can self-retract and be secure to a block holder when disconnected.

Each of the mounting slots in the first set and the second set is configured in an asymmetric shape. The first and second sets of mounting slots allow a mounting pin to be inserted through in a first angle and to rotate from the first angle to a second angle after the insertion to interlock the cold plate with the exterior surface of the processor with proper mounting pressure loaded.

The electronic rack further includes a pair of rack supply manifold and rack return manifold, and an air-to-liquid (A/L) heat exchanger. The rack supply manifold receives cooling liquid from a coolant distribution unit (CDU). The rack return manifold receives and returns warmer liquid carrying the heat back to the CDU. The A/L heat exchanger is connected to the rack liquid supply. The rack supply manifold receives the cooling liquid from the A/L heat exchanger, then to distribute the cooling liquid to each computing node to provide liquid cooling to processors.

An electronic rack includes a back panel, a number of server slots, and a number of server blades inserted therein. The back panel includes a heat removal liquid manifold to provide heat removal liquid from an external heat removal system to remove heat from the server blades. Each server blade includes a server tray to contain an information technology (IT) component and a self-fitting coupling assembly having a first liquid intake connector and a first liquid outlet connector to self-align with a second liquid intake connector and a second liquid outlet connector mounted on the liquid manifold mounted on the back panel. The optimal controller is to control the pump speed and fan speed at the same time to minimize the total energy cost, while keeping the processor's temperature below a predetermined reference temperature using an optimization function or model. The optimization model includes both the liquid and air cooling dynamics and converted the dynamics to a convex optimization problem. The optimization is performed to determine a set of pump speed and fan speeds such that the objective function reaches minimum, while the constraints are satisfied.

A data center liquid cooling coolant distribution system design for multiple liquid cooled racks which are arranged in multiple rows. These rows of electronic racks are positioned spaced apart from each other to form an aisle. The data center system further includes a CDU to provide cooling liquid to the electronic racks to remove heat generated from the IT components of the electronic racks. The CDU includes a set of liquid supply and return lines coupled to room manifolds arranged within the aisle. The room manifolds are coupled to rack manifolds of each electronic rack. The rack manifolds of an electronic rack are adapted to receive a cooling liquid from the CDU via the room manifolds and to exchange the heat generated from the IT components of the electronic rack.
