Methods of forming a dental appliance. The methods may include partially curing a prepolymer mixture into a semi-solid polymer material having a first shape that is a sheet. The semi-solid polymer material may be placed over a dentition mold, wherein the semi-solid polymer material may take on a second shape corresponding to a shell having one or more cavities for receiving one or more teeth. The semi-solid polymer material may be fully cured by exposure to energy until the semi-solid polymer material thermosets in the second shape.

Methods of forming a dental appliance

This disclosure provides low-viscosity resins for producing polymers with properties suitable for use in various mechanical appliances, such as orthodontic appliances (e.g., aligners). The low-viscosity resins may be photo-curable and can be used with direct fabrication methods and equipment. In various embodiments, the polymeric materials produced from the low-viscosity resins described herein have high toughness while remaining resistant to stress relaxation. Low-viscosity, photo-curable resins described herein have reduced hydrogen bonding in comparison to traditional materials (e.g., materials having high urethane content) used in orthodontic appliances.

A dental appliance includes a first segment comprising a first plurality of tooth receiving cavities shaped to receive and to impart a first distalization force in a distal direction on a first part of a patient dentition on a first jaw. The dental appliance further includes a second segment comprising a second plurality of tooth receiving cavities shaped to receive and to impart a second distalization force in the distal direction on a second part of the patient dentition. The dental appliance further includes a connector shaped to span a plurality of anterior teeth of the patient dentition and to leave open a labial side of the plurality of anterior teeth. The connector operates to decrease transmission of one or more forces between the first segment and the second segment to limit transmission of at least one of the first distalization force or the second distalization force to the plurality of anterior teeth.

A dental attachment apparatus may include an orthodontic attachment having a surface shaped to conform to a contour of a buccal surface of a tooth, and one or more registration surfaces that are shaped to conform to one or more occlusal surfaces of the patient's teeth. The one or more registration surfaces may be configured to aid in proper positioning or orientation of the orthodontic attachment. When the attachment positioning apparatus is placed on the patient's dentition, the orthodontic attachment is positioned at a specified location with respect to the buccal surface of the tooth.

In some embodiments, a method comprises: receiving a list of materials to be received by a depot from a plurality of sources within a predetermined period of time; receiving a specification of materials to be received by a facility from the depot within the predetermined period of time; and generating a cargo plan based on the list and the specification, the cargo plan indicating quantities of each material of a plurality of materials to be loaded onto a transport within the predetermined period of time. Methods of forming dental appliances. The methods may include partially curing a prepolymer mixture in a first mold to form a partially cured polymer mixture. The first mold may have an internal cavity that is shaped to provide the partially cured polymer mixture with a first shape having a channel in accordance with a dental arch. The first shape may have a greater thickness at locations corresponding to where a gingival line of the dental appliance will be formed compared to a thickness at occlusal surfaces of the dental appliance.
