A combustion engine, in particular that of a motor vehicle, includes a ventilation device for feeding gases of a crankcase of the combustion engine enclosing at least one crankshaft to an air feed of the combustion engine, wherein the air feed feeds an airflow rate to the combustion engine. An adapter device may fluidically connect a full load path of the ventilation device to a full load line of the ventilation device and a part load path of the ventilation device to a part load line of the ventilation device.

Internal combustion engine

The present invention relates to a device for venting a crank space in an internal combustion engine () having a suction device () for sucking out blow-by gases from the crank space () and having a venting line () which leads from the crank space () to the suction device () and in the course of which a throttle device () or a pressure regulating element () is arranged in order to bound a partial pressure which is generated by the suction device () in the crank space (). It is essential to the invention here that an oil mist separator () which is embodied as an impactor is integrated into the throttle device () or into the pressure regulating element ().

Device for venting a crank space

The invention relates to a device () for ventilating a crankcase of an internal combustion engine, comprising a ventilation line leading from the crankcase to the suction line of the internal combustion engine, an oil-mist separator () for separating the oil parts from the blow-by-gases containing the oil-mist from the crankcase is arranged in the path thereof. Also, said device () comprises a pump () which is arranged upstream of the oil-mist separator () and which is used to produce a negative pressure. The invention is characterized in that the oil-mist separator () and the pump () are embodied as connected modules thus providing a particularly compact structure.

Device for ventilating a crankcase

A crankcase ventilation oil mist separator system, comprising: a first separator unit, which has at least one filter body arranged in a blow-by gas path such that blow-by gas flows through the body; a second separator unit which is arranged in a bypass path that bypasses the first separator unit; and a bypass valve which opens the bypass path when a differential pressure in the first separator unit exceeds a predefined value, wherein the second separator unit is an impactor separator.

Oil mist separator

Ventilation device for a forced induction internal combustion engine

The present invention relates to a ventilation device () for ventilating a crankcase () of an internal combustion engine (), particularly in a motor vehicle, comprising a ventilation line (), which is connected at the input side to the crankcase () of the internal combustion engine () in the mounted state, and which is connected at the output side to a fresh gas line () feeding fresh gas to the internal combustion engine (), a ventilation line (), which in the mounted state is connected to the fresh gas line () at the input side and to the crankcase () at the output side. A separator () is arranged in the ventilation line () to remove pollution from the gas that is discharged from the crankcase () and a pressure valve () is arranged in the ventilation line () to control the gas volume discharged from the crankcase (). In order to increase the smoothness of running of the internal combustion engine () in idle, the ventilation device () comprises a locking device () for locking the ventilation line ().

Crank case ventilator

A positive crankcase ventilation oil mist separator system has a first separator unit, wherein the first separator unit includes at least one filter body arranged in a blow-by gas path such that blow by gas flows through the filter body; a second separator unit, wherein the second separator is an impactor separator arranged in a bypass path that bypasses the first separator unit; and a bypass valve, which opens the bypass path as soon as a differential pressure at the first separator unit exceeds a predefined value, wherein the second separator unit comprises an impact wall formed by a section of the filter body of the first separator unit, and a flow directing element which directs the blow-by gas flow against the impact wall when the blow-by gas path is open.

The present invention relates to a deaerating and aerating device () for an internal combustion engine () for discharging blowby gas out of a crankcase (), comprising a first line () which is connected at one end to the crankcase () and at the other end to a fresh gas line () downstream of a supercharging device () and which contains a deaerating valve (), and a second line () which is connected at one end to the fresh gas line () upstream of the supercharging device () and at the other end to the crankcase () and which contains a throttle device () and, parallel thereto, a non-return check valve () which provides a blocking action in the direction of the crankcase ().

Deaerating and aerating device for a supercharged internal combustion engine

The invention relates to an internal combustion engine (), in particular in a motor vehicle, having a fresh air system () for supplying fresh air, which is extracted from the environment () of the internal combustion engine (), to combustion chambers () of the internal combustion engine (), and having a degassing system () for discharging blowby gas from a crankcase () of the internal combustion engine () and for supplying the blowby gas to the fresh air of the fresh air system (). Device for separating a gas-liquid mixture, in particular during ventilation of a crankcase of an internal combustion engine

The invention relates to a device for separating a gas-liquid mixture, in which the liquid portion exists in the form of small particles, especially for ventilating a crankcase of an internal combustion engine, by separating and coagulating the liquid particles on a target area. The liquid mixture, after acceleration in acceleration openings provided for this purpose, impacts the target area at an approximately right angle. The aim of the invention is to improve the aforementioned device in such a manner that it allows as high a degree of separation as possible for different sized volume flows of mixtures. For this purpose, the number and/or the cross-sections of the acceleration openings is varied, depending on the volume flow of mixtures, between a small complete cross-section for a low volume flow and a large complete cross-section for a large volume flow.
