A method, a computer readable media and a hand-held device, the hand-held device may include a first sensor that is positioned such as to be contacted by a first hand of a user when the user holds the hand-held device; a second sensor that is positioned such as to be contacted by a second hand of the user when the user holds the hand-held device; wherein at least one sensor of the first sensor and the second sensor is a hybrid sensor that comprises an electrode, an illumination element and a light detector; and a health monitoring module arranged to process detections signals from the electrode and from the light detector such as to provide processed signals that are indicative of a state of the user.

A method and a monitor for monitoring a driver of a vehicle, the monitor includes: multiple sensors coupled to at least one vehicle element or integrated with at least one vehicle element; a processor for: receiving physiological information relating to the driver from the multiple sensors; detecting, based on the physiological information, a health problem of the driver, an awareness level of the driver and a stress level of the driver; determining a selected action to be performed based on the detection, wherein the action is selected from a list consisting of: establishing a call to a remote assistance site, transmitting the physiological information to a remote assistance site, generating an audio alert, and generating a visual alert; and assisting in a completion of the selected action.

Vehicle driver monitor and a method for monitoring a driver

A system and method for regulating blood flow rate or blood pressure in a second blood vessel or heart chamber to achieve a balanced flow rate or blood pressure between the second blood vessel or heart chamber and a first blood vessel or heart chamber, wherein the first and the second blood vessels and heart chambers are on opposite sides of the circulatory system. The system comprises a monitor that monitors parameters indicative of a difference between the flow rates or blood pressures of the first and the second blood vessels or heart chambers. A regulator regulates the blood flow rate or blood pressure in at least a portion of the second blood vessel or heart chamber. A controller is configured to receive a signal from the monitor and to determine a difference between the flow rate or blood pressure of the first blood vessel or heart chamber and the flow rate or blood pressure of the second blood vessel or heart chamber. The controller determines a second blood flow rate or blood pressure in the second blood vessel or heart chamber that generates the balanced flow rate or blood pressure between the first and the second blood vessels or heart chambers. The controller then signals the regulator to generate the second determined blood flow rate or blood pressure in the at least portion of the lumen of the second blood vessel or heart chamber.
