The present disclosure provides for improved bone implantation and stabilization assemblies, and improved systems/methods for deploying and/or undeploying such bone implantation and stabilization assemblies. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for improved devices, systems and methods for stabilizing bones and/or bone segments. In exemplary embodiments, the present disclosure provides for improved devices, systems and methods for deploying bone implantation and stabilization assemblies into bone tissue (e g., spinal structure, vertebrae, cancellous bone, cortical bone, etc.) in order to stabilize bones and/or bone segments.

Bone implantation and stabilization assembly including deployment device

An assembly including a connector element including a receptacle from which extends a neck, a lug element sized to fit in the receptacle of the connector element, ears pivotally connected to the lug element, and a mechanical fastener that fastens the connector element together with the lug element, thereby causing the ears to pivot and grip a connector rod placed between the ears.

Cross-connector assembly

An expandable bone device including first and second bone support elements, a manipulator positioned between the first and second bone support elements and connected to them by link members, the manipulator adapted to move the first and second bone support elements between a collapsed orientation and an expanded orientation, wherein in the collapsed orientation the first and second bone support elements are drawn towards the manipulator and in the expanded orientation the first and second bone support elements are moved outwards away from a longitudinal axis of the manipulator, and deformable support struts connected between the manipulator and the first and second bone support elements that deform when moved by the manipulator from the collapsed orientation to the expanded orientation and vice versa, wherein in the expanded orientation the deformable support struts form a structure that maintains the first and second bone support elements in the expanded orientation.

A connector assembly including a bone anchoring element including a spherical head, a double collet that includes an inner clamping portion formed by inner surfaces of a plurality of resilient fingers, the resilient fingers defining a first wedge surface and a second wedge surface, an outer closure element that includes an inner clamping portion that corresponds in shape to an outer contour of the double collet, the outer closure element including a pair of arms that define a channel shaped for receiving therein a connector element, and an interface ring that includes a base formed with an inner wedge surface and a pair of wing extensions that extend from the base.
