A TFT display screen device includes at least one active zone whose pixels are used for the display of an instrument cluster and the display of one or more warning or alarm), optionally icons inlaid in the instrument cluster. The screen also includes at least one dead zone not visible to the user. At least one dead zone is provided-with at least one light sensor and at least one control pixel which is activated when the single icon or at least one icon with which it is associated, is displayed in the active zone of the screen. The sensor is adapted to detect the activation of said at least one control pixel and to deliver a signal.

The disclosure relates to a combination indicating instrument, and has as its object to devise a hybrid combination display instrument for displaying information in a motor vehicle in a manner so as to provide a homogeneous and smooth transition between an analog display region and a digital display region within the hybrid combination display instrument. An instrument panel for a motor vehicle includes: a display area including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The first portion is located in a first main plane of extension. The second portion is located in a second main plane of extension. The second main plane of extension is positioned relative to the first main plane of extension with respect to a user of the instrument panel such that the second portion of the display area is positioned further from a normal position of the eyes of the user relative to the first portion of the display area. The instrument panel further includes an optical conductor, the optical conductor including a first part and a second part. At least part of the second portion and/or at least part of the third portion of the display area is illuminated by the second part of the optical conductor.
