Release layer

Imaging methods, imaging devices, transfer assemblies, and transfer member lubrication assemblies are described according to some aspects. According to one aspect, an imaging method includes forming a latent image using a first imaging member, using a marking agent, developing the latent image providing a developed image, after the developing, first transferring the marking agent of the developed image to an imaging transfer member, after the first transferring, second transferring the marking agent of the developed image from the imaging transfer member, and lubricating the imaging transfer member during the first and the second transferrings.

A multi-layered image transfer blanket and a method of producing same, including a body portion and an image transfer portion, the image transfer portion having an image transfer surface and a back surface, comprising forming the image transfer portion on a carrier substrate and transferring the image transfer portion onto the body portion such that the back surface of the image transfer portion faces the body portion. Preferably, the image transfer portion is formed on the carrier substrate such that the back surface of the image transfer portion faces the carrier substrate.

Intermediate transfer blanket and method of producing the same

A method of producing a coating on a member comprising: providing a body portion; coating the body portion with a catalyst material for a release coating material; and overcoating the catalyst material with an uncured polymer material for which the catalyst is active. Preferably, the release coating material is a condensation type silicone.
